the real truth is you do not need more than a high school diploma to be a network engineer. it is time we got American high school graduates to do such work.

There is no contradiction. A large population means cut throat competition for small number of seats in elite colleges. The small proportion that makes it is very competent and goes on to achieve success.

These frauds also coincide with the highly inflated cost of education in India. Suddenly studying in mediocre foreign colleges is no longer a very outrageous proposition. Education loans are easily available too. And the 'gora hai to behtar hai' mindset still prevails.
