Audi AG expresses intent to assemble vehicles in Pakistan

These days all cars are modular with upto 80% components being sourced from independent vendors..A Japanese car and German car has the same air conditioner, brake, safety system, differential, blah blah..

In my practical experience of owning many vehicles, almost all cars are more or less same level of reliability and cost the same to fix when they break...unless they have some non standard engineering as in the case of French...even the Renault is pretty rock solid reliable..

Grip is also a question of driving surface, tyres and suspension tuning...unless all vehicles were driven over the same track by same person and driving conditions, it is difficult to rate the drip in such arbitrary manner..

You are right.. The cars I have driven and the roads were comparable.. Don't know about tires though..

Level playing field should be given to every manufacturer be it the Japanese or the Germans.

I have driven all three. I think BMW has more grip..

I am more pleased to see a BMW other than benz and audi. I don't know but BMW looks killer. I hope BMW starts assembling/manufacturing of their cars here in Pakistan specially 1,3 and 5 series.

AUDI, for general public ??? LOL :rofl::rofl:

It is a well known fact that Pakistani public has a lot more money than their government. Its pretty visible when you visit Islamabad and Lahore and get an idea about their real estate prices, the living standards and the cars they drive. Hillary had made many direct arguments about Pakistani government being poor because people were rich and didn't pay taxes.

I think majority of people in the upper middle class will buy these care for the price mentioned. More if the car financing is made available.

Audi has launched the 1.0 liter Q2 with a price tag starting from PKR 4.35 million. In Karachi you can already spot Audis in good numbers, so Q2 might attract good number of buyers considering the fact that the Suzuki Vitara touches PKR 3.8 million while the Toyota C-HR import is available for PKR 4.9 million in the market.

Most of the general public in Pakistan has money to afford Audis if available without the terrifying custom tax.
They can buy it with straight cash too :pakistan:
People are buying cars priced by 4 million PKR. Surely Audi is not a big deal as well.

Audi A3 can be seen in good numbers in Karachi
