Rawalpindi - January 14, 2018:
There are reports of fake telephone calls being made to general public by individuals impersonating as Pakistan Armed Forces officials. The impersonators try to seek personal details like CNIC, bank accounts etc on the pretext of CENSUS verification etc. Please be aware that no such calls are being made from Pakistan Armed Forces. Public is requested not to respond to such calls, and immediately report the same on our emergency help line UAN 1135 and 1125.

Thanks for sharing this. People have reported this happening to them and the numbers from which the calls were made seemed legit bank landlines and UAN kind of numbers.

People have to be stupid to respond to such calls. The MO is that a male calls pretending to a Captain Ayub from Pakistan Army and asks for your CNIC and personal details to clarify the census data. Come on folks, why would the ARMY call you?!
