HYDERABAD: At least eight people including four children were wounded on Sunday in a cracker blast in Hyderabad, police said.

According to police, the cracker blast took place near New Bridge in Hyderabad and was heard far and wide.

Police said that Bomb Disposal Squad has been summoned keeping in view the situation.

SSP Irfan Baloch said that motorcycle-riding assailants threw a cracker bomb.

He said that the act might have been carried out by a nationalist party.

On Dunya news they are reporting this as being a "Cracker" blast near the bridge. All the stalls and shops had shut down at the time of the report 19:40 PST.

The person is probably referring to JSQM (Jeay Singh Qaumi Mahaz)... but I am not sure they conducted this cracker attack. It could be anybody and we still need to investigate.

Loyalty is not in us Pakistanis blood. We have a far too high opinion of our ethnicity and I despite spending enough time in Lucknow have noticed a very negative perception amongst us muhajirs of other ethnic groups. JSQM is one of many parties that does not believe in the idea of Pakistan.

It is a tricky affair how to deal with non violent traitors. Do we win them over or do we throw them in jails. We have enough people like Tarek Fateh and Syed Jamaluddin though, that is a fact.
