  • The dead were among the 1,200 combatants from pro-Ankara Syrian factions that Turkey has sent to fight for the Azeris since last week
  • French President Macron demanded that Turkey explain what he said was the arrival of jihadist fighters in Azerbaijan

At least 64 pro-Turkey Syrian rebel fighters have been killed in clashes between Armenian and Azerbaijani forces over Nagorno-Karabakh, a Britain-based war monitor said in a new toll on October 3.
They were among the 1,200 combatants from pro-Ankara Syrian factions that Turkey has sent to fight for the Azeris since last week, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said, updating its earlier figure of 850.
At least 36 of them have been killed in clashes in the past 48 hours alone, the Observatory added, increasing a previous toll of 28 to 64.
Armenia has accused Turkey of dispatching Syrian fighters to fight on the Azeri side in the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region, despite Azerbaijani and Turkish denials.

French President Emmanuel Macron demanded Friday that Turkey explain what he said was the arrival of jihadist fighters in Azerbaijan.

Intelligence reports had established that 300 Syrian fighters drawn from “jihadist groups” from the Syrian city of Aleppo had passed through Gaziantep in Turkey en route for Azerbaijan, he said.

In a statement on Saturday, the Syrian foreign ministry warned of “blatant Turkish interference” in the conflict.

“It aims to inflame the situation in a manner that is consistent with the Turkish regime’s behaviour in more than one country, where it has created tension and fuelled the fire of sedition,” said the statement, carried by the official SANA news agency.

Clashes have raged between Armenian and Azerbaijani forces since September 27 over Nagorno-Karabakh, an ethnic Armenian province that broke away from Baku in a bitterly fought war in the 1990s.

That's the way to send Turkish soldiers

Syrians have become the scum of the Earth.

Funny, they said the same thing about you🤪

LOOK AFTER YOUR OWN INTERESTS

That's the lesson we must all learn, your enemies aren't going to help you and or care about your people or your national interests

countries like France have created turmoil with their foreign policies

Let Turkey and their allies have a go

Azerbijan has LEGAL RIGHT backed by multiple U.N resolutions

anyone helping Azerbaijan is enforcing international law 😂😂😂😂👍👍👍👍👍👍

I don't know why some people are criticising Turkey here. Turkey is merely backing their ally. The fact that Turkey is doing this openly actually shows that it has matured as a regional power. Any big power usually has allies which they back in times of difficulties, that's what it means to be allies. If you are undecided and hesitant to support your allies when they need you, then you will hardly ever have any real allies per se and you won't be able to further your interests and have others follow you or fight for your interests going forward. I actually think Turkey is the only real power here who played it's cards right and stood firmly behind it's ally Azerbaijan while providing them all the support they need. This will only deepen Turkeys ties and influence in Azerbaijan and secure Turkeys role as it's main patron (along with Israel). Other powers like Iran/Russia are undecided and seem confused about what to do. This shows they lack the resolve to get involved or which side to back. Turkey should.makenuse of this opportunity to put this conflict to rest and seize all the disputed area and solidify it's interests in the region. Indecessiveness in geo politics is a big blunder, Erdogan learned this the hard way during the begining of the Syrian conflict where Turkey lost the initiative and let other powers get involved thereby putting Turkeys own interests in Jeopardy and making them a minor player by the time they woke up which was already too late, as the dice had already been cast. Erdogan has learned from his mistake, we can see this in his decisiveness in his early involvement in Libya, his involvement in sending warships and research vessels in Greece and Cyprus waters to secure Turkeys energy rights and now in Azerbaijan where Turkey now has an upper and hand and Moe ability to decide how events will unfold, instead of staying on the sidelines.
I will say Erdogan has done very well recently. Only a great leaders learns from his mistakes and adjusts accordingly.

WELL . INTRESTING QUESTION

I WONDER HOW SOME OF( OUR ) TERRORISTS STARTING FIGHTING IN SYRIA AND YEMEN ALSO?...

IT AINT HARD TO MOVE YOUR ASSETS AROUND

AND WHEN U GET CAUGHT,
U JUST CONDEM , THESE TERRORISTS, ABONDON THEM

AND HIRE SOME FRESH ONES,

WELL THATS WHAT THE THEORY IS..........

Well that is the entire point of bringing canon fodders to the frontlines. Azerbaijan played smart by hiring trained war hardened mercenaries to tackle Armenians.

I cant understand how people think Azerbaijan needs 1200 Syrians?
Azerbaijan has enough military personel .
This is openly for disinformation because Karabakh war going on between drones, tanks, howitzers, missiles.
Infantry personels are only going for capturing fallen lands. 1200 special operation force personel make great difference but Azerbaijan has enough ordinary military personel.
All of them nonsense arguments because in Karabakh there isnt a proxy war going on , there is a war going on between two states' armys.

As for Azerbayjan, it a part of the War of Liberation....

The French are openly pro Arminians and favour the occupation of Azeri lands. Not a surprise on macron statement
