Hey bro I have a question. The Kamorta class has as per appearance 1 X 76 mm SRGM, 2 X RBU 6000 Anti Torpedo/Submarine rocket launcher, 16 X Barak 8 and 2 X AK 630 CIWS as well as 3 X 2 533mm Torpedo Tubes.

As per SIPRI Kamorta class got 3M54E missiles delivered in 2012. A variant of 3M54E the Klub S can be fired from torpedo tubes. The question is , is Kamorta possibly equipped with this measure?

Sure, there will always be criticisms to be made but on the whole the IAF has done a respectable job- C4I capabilities boosted, upgraded airbases (MAFI), transport fleet (C-17s, C-130Js, upgraded AN-32s, MRTA) etc etc. There's also a lot of things you don't see or aren't given much attention but are tangibly boosting the IAF's capabilities- full mission simulators, improved training facilities, improved ground infrastructure across the board, new recon capabilities etc etc

My thinking is simply that the IN won't employ their assets in such a rigid manner- they won't have one lot of, more modern, escorts for one ACC and one lot of, less modern/capable, escorts for the other ACC- escorts will be assigned on a need basis, it also depends on the fleet the ACC is deployed with. It is likely the Viky will go to the Eastern naval command once the IAC-1 is inducted into the Western naval command later this decade, as such the Eastern fleet's ships will act as escorts for the Viky.

The situation will not improve till either our defence shipyards improve and/or MoD gets its head out of its *** and starts giving full orders to private shipyards.

I dont know why MoD is so hesitant to give orders to private yards. The private shipbuilders would most likely build the ships in half the time the PSU yards do. They still only give peice-meal orders or subcontracting work to the private yards.

Not just that, if MoD started giving orders to private yards, many more ports and yards would be built by private players helping India across the board.

You are being optimistic.
I am being realistic. There is no intrinsic push or change of behaviour in MoD. It will take a political push for these changes to happen since the MoD does not want it on its own.
Let us see if the new Govt pushes this.
