So you want to say that a plane will carry different type of missile to hit the target at different altitude?

That's right. It appears to be the performance parameter of the missile. The missile appears to have a range of 90-110 km when fired at the height of 15 km. A range of 44 km when fired at height of 9 Km and a range of 30 km when flying at sea level.

Check last line. I am pretty sure it must be a pretty advanced version since AGAT was strapped for cash, IAF is demanding and DRDO pays well for ToT.

Only two version are in development but range defines by altitude.
Astra Mark1 have range of 80 km on head chase if it fired from altitude of 60,000 ft but its range would be 21 km if it would be fire at sea level.
