We are living in an abnormal country where people prefer to live in medieval times.

For the sake of discussion, if the government legalizes alcohol, casinos etc You will see a severe backlash from different sects of the society. It will be a political disaster; however, who cares about fanatics? We were not a fanatic society before Zia! So, who took over whom? Fanatics back in the day took over our freedom.

People will protest, burn cars etc then they will go back to their houses. In return, when they will see employment opportunities coming, things will get in a different shape. Of course, criticizers are always there but we can change the view of majority by giving jobs.

Nonetheless, what benefit are we getting from the society? People are in depression, unemployment at its peak, inflation sky rocketing, you name it!

How can we change this situation if we do not take these measures?

Did you ever go over 'Khanz' thread here in the Member's Club I guess? Pakistan fashion or something like that? Did you see the pictures there? Our society is acceptable to western norms; however, mulli scums should be tackled accordingly.

Let me come to the other side.

I am a mulli scum, fanatic. How will I benefit the society except teaching mulli made islam to the people?
Lets say, we implement sharia. Than what will happen? I am in favour of Sharia but you should think in a better way. Western countries will not accept it, we won't get aid, no tourists--how will we survive? You can practice Islam at your home.

Islam is not public rather personal.

We need a rapid change in the society!

Well we can turn it into an econimic oppurtunity and tourism zone as well. The pity of world tourism is that large industry depends on booze, *** and gambling which will not sit well with our national image. However we can always target those geniunely looking for a get away the sceneic place.

Well, we can give them booze as well. Pakistanis do not understand the fundamental concept of pleasing others, customer service. Why do you think that Dubai gets large number of tourists? You can get booze, clubs etc

Are we of more holy land than UAE where the Islam started? What are you talking about? Booze, people from Lahore also drink booze along with other people. So, what is the harm of legalizing booze? If my faith is strong enough, I won't drink booze even if it is legal but if my faith is not that strong, I can get booze from anywhere nowadays.

Moreover, when 'selling' your product, you have to understand the psyche of the buyers. No one will buy cow urine (just an example no offence) in Romania! So, in order to get foreign tourists, you have to give them whatever they want. Arab women are also getting more liberal but where are we going?
