Imran Khan hopeful of huge oil, gas reserve in Pakistan waters
Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday - earlier this month - indicated that the country is about to discover a huge reserve of oil and gas, ending its economic woes.
Not divulging details of the offshore drilling process in Pakistani waters, Khan said, "Just pray that our hopes and expectations from the offshore drilling being carried out by ExxonMobil-led consortium prove to be true."
According to a Dawn report, ExxonMobil and the international oil exploration company ENI, have been involved since January in drilling an ultra-deep well (230km inside the sea) for oil in what is known as Kekra-1 area. "There's already been a delay of about three weeks, but if the indications we are getting from the companies are anything to go by, there's a strong possibility that we may discover a very big reserve in our waters. And if that happens, Pakistan will altogether be in a different league," Khan added.
ExxonMobil returned to Pakistan after nearly a decade when surveys were carried out last year suggesting the possibility of big oil reserves within the Pakistani waters.
ExxonMobil holds 25 percent interest in Block G located offshore Pakistan which is operated by Eni Pakistan Limited.

The block is located approximately 143 miles (230 kilometers) off the coast of Pakistan in water depth of about 6,200 feet (1,900 meters).
ExxonMobil is working with its partners and the government of Pakistan to evaluate the full exploration potential of this large offshore block.

What does that 25 percent mean? I mean will oil will be shared with them(If successfully explored)?
Secondly, We all know the same that their are hopes not sured about it but how much are hopes high?
Thirdly, If some Jackpot as hinted by Imran Khan is discovered how much it will boost Pakistan's economy?
