Hi and greetings to all.
I decided to create this thread when i was just surfing the net and I came across an article about a deal between UK and India about procuring of ASRAAM Air-2-Air missiles.
Similarly we are buying MICA for our upgraded Mirage 2000 aircrafts.
If we look at both ASRAAM and MICA both have following similarities .
1. Both manufactured by MBDA.
2. Similar operational range.
3. Similar working mechanisms(like detonation etc)
4. Both have similar guidance systems.
Now my question is if both of the missiles can serve the same purpose, why ordering two of them and that too from the same manufacturer?
If at all I am wrong I stand to be corrected.
For basic
