Without even getting into the context, PTI fanboys are at it again. This is a sectarian issue in GB. There were massive protests in Chillas to file blasphemy case against this shia cleric, and when it happened, people in shia dominated area are showing their anger.

All of this happened because Parliament recently passed an act which widens the scope of blasphemy law.

The PTI's Gilgit Baltistan govt. of CM Khalid Khursheed was removed by the political engineering, by the neutral duffers.

Can you please clarify what events in 2014 were as condemnable as the events that have taken place since 2022? For all intents and purposes, the constitution and rule of law have been suspended for the past one and a half years. The courts have been made a mockery of, and parliament has become a rubber stamp. Citizens' rights have been suspended unlike ever before, and law enforcement agencies have been violating the homes and honor of political dissidents with impunity. Nothing that happened in 2014 comes even close to what is happening today.

If the Fauj can throw innocent civilians and popular political leaders in prison over fabricated charges, torture them, ignore court orders for bail and release, then why haven’t they used the same process to throw extremist and sectarian leaders into jail and cracked down on their organizations?

Its all part of the Fauj’s depraved games to keep power. They have pitted sect against sect and supported a venal, corrupt political, land owning and business elite to keep the pot boiling and in that instability is where they flourish and tell the country, ‘see, the Fauj is the only entity that can protect you, not these incompetent civilians’.

Lets hope that it isn’t too late to fix all the damage done by this rotten institution over decades and decades.
