Bumrah is a good bowler but he is rated very highly by Indians. Statistically speaking, his average and economy rate in the last few years have been similar to Shaheen Shah Afridi. In fact his ICC rating is also just 1 point up or down compared to SS Afridi however I believe the reason SS Afridi is rated more by neutral observers and received the ICC award for best bowler of the year is the impact of SS Afridi. Bumrah takes regular wickets but the impact of SS Afridi is usually way better.Again don't judge by one game...
Just like you people recently so much hype for Naseem Shah...... Most properly he will struggle to even get a place in the Pakistani team after again meet with Indian batsmen. I knew that he will become the next Hasan Ali.............. One match - Hero against India and Next game - Zero.
I rate a bowler after 3-4 years of consistent performance, not only 1 or 8-10 matches.
Bumrah is a TOP and number 1 T20 and better than even Shaheen Afridi as per the International match statics.
Bhuvi - I don't rate him as a good dead bowler... He is only good with the new ball.
Shami - One of the best ODI and test bowler again as per the records.
The fitness of Shami is much better than any young Pakistani bowlers. he is 32 years old still can play up to the next 4 years.
Bhuvneshwar is in the Indian side because India has never produced quality fast bowlers after Kapel Dev… even an average bowler in Pakistan is better than Bhuvneshwar.
The thing is.. there are many good new ball fast bowlers as the new ball seams and swings and can be very effective against quality batting line up if you have a pace but there are very few old-ball specialists like Umar Gul used to be one.
Shami is a technical bowler and I take him like Mohammad Asif used to be… but he lacks consistency particularly with old ball. He needs to work on his pace so that he can be used in both old and new ball
