The Makassar class is a class of 4 Landing Platform Docks designed for the Indonesian Navy by Daesun Shipbuilding & Engineering Co. of South Korea and based on the earlier Tanjung Dalpele class. The US$150 million contract was signed in December 2004[3] and the first two units were built in Busan, South Korea. The remaining two were built at Indonesia's PT PAL shipyard in Surabaya with assistance from Daesun.

The Philippine Navy selected a variant of the Makassar class design from PT PAL, called the Tarlac-class for its Strategic Sealift Vessel (SSV) programme following competitive bidding in 2013, and the contract for two units was signed on 23 January 2014.The first unit was laid down at Surabaya on 22 January 2015.

Then don't blame China for keeping your armour car. Plus even Malaysia and Philippine has tone down their stance and say no to joint patrol of SCS. If Singapore still think US Joint patrol in SCS is the correct thing to do. Singapore has choose US side and there is no negotiation between China and Singapore.

Myanmar got nice capability to build warship, and how about the subsystem? weapon, sensor, CMS, etc? does myanmar have local product?
some sub system are making in local.. but we have to import most of subsystem.. especally electronic and sensor..

here some local made subsystem

We need someone to protect us from aggression and the USA is doing that perfectly.Training a few crews in Taiwan doesn't give China an excuse.

kfx_indonesian_variant_by_stealthflanker-d4ukybg.jpg

Indonesia and South Korea are partaking in developing a 4.5th generation fighter jet currently named KF-X/IF-X. The project started in 2010 with Indonesia funding 20% of the project. On May 2016 General Electric was chosen as the powerplant supplier for the aircraft and it'll use double engine 98kN (22.000 lb) F414-GE-400. Initial order for South Korea is 120 units and Indonesia 50 units. PTDI will be the main producer of the fighters for Indonesian Air Force.

F414-GE-400 is also used to power F/A-18E/F Super Hornet, it's variant also used by JAS-39E/F Gripen

PT. Infoglobal (Surabaya) has been trusted to supply some elements for IF-X

KF-X will go through 13,000 hours of wind tunnel testing with design that will be completed in next two years

That is nonsense! Then I can say China also need to protect herself. You really think US will protect Singapore if other countries threaten Singapore. You can ask Philippine what happen and what makes Philippine abandon previous hostile action against China.

You Singapore are just being make use by US. The foolish leadership just still in denial, US care abt Singapore existent.

Socialist Republic of Vietnam

In Vietnam, Nguyen Quoc Hoa engineer, a businessman who hatched Pacific also attended and successfully built a mini submarine called the Trường Sa (Spratly).

According to the author, mini submarine has a displacement of 12 tons of the 9.2 tons when submerged and floating, 800 km radius of operation. Deep diving 50 meters and is capable of moving close to or lying at the bottom of the sea. The ship is equipped with two 90hp engines. When diving, boat use AIP technology - ie submarines will operate quietly just before the "nose" the enemy without being exposed. Ships with 15-hour dive time; operating time of 15 days at sea; computing speed of 40 knots / h. Currently the author continues to improve and desire: "Not only do the products fulfilled the passion, which must have practical applicability. I yearn Vietnam have been 1,000 such vessels , to the marine police, fishery control, fishermen at sea. "

The project started in 2014 with FNSS of Turkey and PT. Pindad of Indonesia participating. The conceptual design has been completed and revealed during Indo Defence 2016 in November. The production of the prototype also has been started. FNSS and PT Pindad make up the prime contractors of the project, whose intellectual property rights will be owned by the two countries.

This MMWT will use CT-CV 105HP cannon from CMI, the cannon is able to launch GLATGM Falarick 105 with maximum range of 5 km. It's also equipped with gyro stabilizer, firing control system, auto target locking system, hunter killer system, and identificatin friend or foe. Coaxial weapon is 7.62 mm machine gun and 7.62 mm RCWS. For protection it's equipped with smoke grenade launcher, armor protection standard STANAG 4569 level 4 (can be upgraded to level 5), and NBC protection kit. Total weight of the vehicle is estimated to be 35 tons.

Main function of this MMWT is not to directly engage enemy's MBT, but rather to hunt enemy's APC/IFV or logistic vehicles especially in terrain where MBTs would have less mobility. Although MMWT can be tasked against MBTs in specific scenarios, such as mobile screening operations, flank attacks, ambush attacks, emergency delaying operations and support of friendly MBTs.

Vietnam Produces Components Scud Missile Fuel

12 Juni 2012

Unit B90 Scud brigade combat training (photo : BaoDatViet)
Recently, the Institute of Technology (Air Defense - Air Force), has successfully studied the production of oxidation in the fuel component R-17E missiles (Scud).
Agent O (oxidized substances in the composition of liquid rocket fuel) of the complex ground missiles R-17E is based on mixed acid HNO3 and N2O4 dioxide.
Agent O is one of two important components constituting the liquid fuel to the fire in general, the fuel for the R-17E missiles in particular. Over the long term preservation, due to the impact of the environment, now degraded fuel, reduce quality, does not guarantee the specifications should affect the combat readiness capabilities of weapons combined.
Aim of producing domestic fuel source, import restrictions from foreign countries, especially in time synchronization for fuel and missile weapons, the scientists at the Institute of Engineering, Air Defence - Air Force have successfully studied the production process, and build the production line from raw material substance O is HNO3 acid in water.
On the basis of composition analysis by foreign fuel production of components, specifications of the methods, modern equipment, the authors have successfully implemented the synthesis of O in the laboratory, thereby determining the elements of production technology for small scale and industrial scale.
The authors have designed, fabricated and installed the production line technology on the basis of fuel recovery line at the factory A31 substances O (Department of Engineering, Air Defense-Air Force); construction develop product specifications and process technology for production of quality O equivalent but cheaper than imported products.
Line is designed with a capacity of tens of tons / year, which went into production, each step needs a liquid fuel to sync with missile weapons system, meeting the requirements ready to fight on higher.
R-17E/9K72 (NATO reporting name SS-1 Scud B) is a combination of tactical ballistic missiles - Soviet campaign development. Currently, the payroll of the Vietnam People's Army brigade B90 is the first unit of ground forces missile Vietnam R-17E/9K72 equipped combinations. B90 Brigade under Army Command Artillery.
