Ascom Quadcopter shot down by Pakistan came from India

.
Imagine how stupid...All images are of India region and this cam was spying Pakistan? Nuts in Pak ISI cum army!haha.losers
Remember, still denying................lolzz.....what else...media showed whole footage....

. .
A very embarrassing situation for India.. Indian high command should look into why one of their drones was drowned so easily. They will deny it to the ends of the earth though and that's understandable.. You can't openly say we violated the border and then got our drone shot down...

As I have mentioned multiple times that the data was secured "Post-Deletion". Any military worth its salt these days can salvage data post deletion. We have had to hone this skill in particular to the point where our technicians have been able to extract deleted data from a partially burnt HDD, as we often have to extract data from terrorist's mobiles, laptops, PCs, Cameras and mem cards.

Retrieving data is no big deal. And mentioning, 'post deletion' too is great. Now, assume it was post deletion. You are now saying, this was a new data card. This device was not recently used. Because, if the data card was old and had been used multiple times, the clarity recovered from this is impossible to achieve as displayed in the photos put up. Recovering from a hard drive which has been physically damaged and recovering form a drive which has been overwritten multiple times are completely different ball games.

Here is the story. I have also checked the 'video' which is basically photo put into a file released by ISPR. Problem. Maximum range of the 'Indian' drone is 300 mts. Now, you are an ex-army chap right? Could you please view the video and tell me if those photos were possible, if the operator, is in the operating radius.

This point has been raised and addressed before, the Phantom has multiple models and the one that crashed has a 2km range in addition to a 6km ceiling.

The degree of usage seems to be limited as the drone itself appears relatively new in condition and the pictures seem to be taken relatively recently as evident by choice of clothing of the men in the photos, the foliage of the forest and the nullah that is in flood. Thus the clarity and number of photos also reflect that the phantom was a relatively new purchase.
I understand that recovering data from a damaged drive and a wiped drive is a different ball game, I merely meant to draw attention to the fact that the former is much tougher to manage and has been done, which is why the latter is a piece of cake for the technicians.

Hm...over written was always more difficult in my day. Damaged was simpler. Maybe, times have changed.

Anyways, I think, if the IA is using these off the shelf drones, its a brilliant idea. Use them when required. They are cheaper and then say, its not ours when brought down. And if photos like these surface, deny it even more saying they were taken off the Internet and mixed with photos taken by PA drones.

This is not going to be solved by either side. The IA will not accept its ours. The ISPR will not accept its a mistake. So, this will get buried and forgotten.

Obviously, as I stated earlier the greatest advantage behind using off the shelf solutions is that they are cheap and maintain deniability so a loss can easily be disowned and its not a significant hit to the national kitty or to diplomatic standing. Its a brilliant strategy to be very honest.

Sounds a lot like what some nations do with off the shelf non state actors.

Plausible deniability, no permanent manpower and supporting infrastructure and logistics costs, and next to no hit to diplomatic standing.

A few guns, suicide vests, some ration, some cell phones and SIMs, a GPS with locked in coordinates, a cleric and some doctored videos, and you are on your way.

Quite brilliant to be honest.

.
Phantom keeps a nice log of GPS coordinates and has a home position record that it flies back to in worst case scenarios.

.
I guess it is possible it is an Indian drone. It is possible the video is doctored. Let's say it is an Indian drone - so? India will continue to deny it. Let's say video is doctored - Pakistan will continue to deny it. We will all be chest thumping here though. All hail the Internet warriors.

Shoddy work if you have SIMs and GPS though, I'd never put them on an NSA I'm about to launch into en territory.
