It does matter in case of PTI!
PTI as a political 'party' is even worse than the 'dynastic' parties because PTI was/is a 'personal' party! You all know that if Imran had croaked at the height of its power in 2020/21 the 'party' would have folded within weeks. Heck, it is unfolding within weeks while the Cocaine Khan is still alive. Why so? Because despite the '27 year political struggle', Imran never groomed anyone to replace him. A true tyrant, sitting like an emperor on some high throne with subjects around him, distrusting everyone. EVERYONE! Look at his choice of second tier 'leadership' and how quickly they abandoned him. Some of that can be explained away by the ongoing repression but not all. And those few still clinging to him are because they are political orphans: Unelectables and no one wants them.

As to praising Imran for not passing the baton to his family: Firstly, they are not a political family. The Cocaine Khan family lives behind seven veils. Secondly, Jemima is smart enough to never allow the sons to risk Pakistani politics. And Imran doesn't care for anyone anyway: He went without seeing his own sons for 3.5 years--UK is not that far away. It was not like Imran was rotting in some jail or had no 'means' for travel. The guys simply doesn't CARE about anyone but himself. A true Narcist!!

Unfortunately that is exactly what they want. Low voter turn out (due to disillusionment), so they can manage the results. When people came out to vote enmasse in the by-elections , they couldn't manage it even with massive state machinery.
