Arunachal shows China how democracy works

Just as Hukou dosen't work in today's China, your vote can't keep people from hunger.

Much to your horror, PRC is planning to abolish Hukou. :woot:

Are you going to abolish your vote?

Maybe you have failed to notice the hungry and destitute in China.....

Hmmm....seems like Communism has failed at eradicating Hunger as well....

That is incorrect mate. A democracy doesn't allow armed extremists to flourish, though I cannot say the same about an ideology however extreme it is. Taliban grew strong because of the Armed Forces establishment of Pakistan, an entity independent of the state, which created them and nourished them and used them as an instrument of state policy. The chickens have come home to roost.

A more apt desription, my dear is like this:

A rabid dog which will bite the very hand that once fed them, should the food stop coming...

The Talib and Islamic extremists..

Issue is related to India, China and Arunachal so don;t add kashmir. Why don't you give freedom baluchistan, wazarikstan ,etc... All knows how to flame. :flame:

I would if there was a UN resolution on the issue or if they had been promised a choice like the kashmiris where under nehru.
If its non UN resolution route you want to take why dont we go for Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Tripura and maybe throw punjab in also for starters?

Kashmir has its democratic right. Last time I checked the people of Kashmir are participants in choosing a representative to the Indian parliament. Being a state of India, that is their democratic right which is not denied to them :pop:

If your so democratic and that sure that the people of kashmir love india you much you will have no problem winning a referendum on the issue then .....would you?

The Truth of Indian CASTOCRACY ;

Perhaps there is no other nation in the world that is as openly and

Shamelessly as Racial as India. To be born in upper caste is a matter

of pride whether the family to which a person belongs deserves it or

not. A number of Indians who visit foreign countries often complain

about being treated differently on account of their Skin Colour or

Accent. They overlook the fact that a vast number of people in

their own country exhibit a far greater Obsession with accent, skin

colour and Caste. Indians film stars put on White Makeup, on the

screen and off the screen, even if they are black, to look accectable

and desirable.

The country's Democracy is Not a True Democracy, but

"CASTOCRACY" Wher people Vote and Leaders are Elected on Caste

Lines. The Indian Political Parties Thrive and Succeed by Appealing to

this Base Emotion of people.

Please keep this kind of CASTOCRACY to Indians only !!

My friends, I lived in china for 2yrs, 2007 & 2008. and now travel often there. When I was in China before Olympics, I couldn't get access to most of the English news sites, like CNN, BBC etc. After complaining a lot the local police came to visit me, and he called in my ISP, and they opened up English web site for me, as a special situation. when ever I traveled outside my base, say I am traveling to Shanghai, i stayed in hotels which had CNN, and BBC Asia. but whenever any news about China came on, the TV goes black. so basically most of the Chinese common peasant know is what government of China tell them. during Olympic they did open up foreign news access to internet, but kind of censored one. Thats what the freedom is. in china Government controls every aspect of peoples life. For example if some one from Anhui province want to study in Beijing, its a dream, unless his or her uncle is a party member. same goes to work also. with in the country Chinese are not allowed to travel freely, or allowed to choose to work wherever they want to work. Hukou . and even to visit Hongkong & Macou ordinary Chinese need Passport, and special permit to travel. its like getting permission to visit a foreign country. they dont even have basic right to propagate, hehe. I am not here to say Chinese people are bad. They are amazing people. They care for friendship more than any culture in this world. all i want to say is, they really do not know what freedom is, or democracy is. I am not going to tell you I know everything about China either. but when i read this forum, when someone from China write about India, and democracy, i feel its kind of oxymoron. If a Chinese really think he has freedom, tell him to gather a group of 100 people, and shout against the almighty CCP. or try have a third child. I do know India is not perfect, but at least a guy from small village in tamilnadu can go to Delhi, and start working with out anyone permission, or he can have 12 kids, if he wants, or gather 1000s of people and shout against PM of India. He has freedom of language, freedom of movement, justice, religion, speech etc. In China go and ask southern people. Well soon they wont able to teach Canton in their schools the way things are going. Please do not talk about cast system in India. Because you dont know what you talking about. Cheers all. Have a wonderful day.

Look at the topic; Indians want to show China how democracy works

The reason for my response was Indian's democracy was not true

democracy, how the hell you got the nerve to preach or show to any

body ?

Good or bad about how we run our country is not the point,

Since we never try to preach or show others to follow.

Funny, if your so called democracy work that good, why you are so

far behind China which you consider a bad system ?

If your so called democracy work that good, why India rank 134 out

of 182 countries in UN Human Development Index ?

India rank poor 134 on UN’s Human Development Index :smitten::pakistan::china:

Dear Airhant, Wazristan is not a sepratist movement like Kashmir or Naxalites or Nagaland. You need to understand that first. India has a better democratic system that but China has developed a combination of a communist system with capitalism. This has worked very well. Empty stomachs cannot bring democracy. Dalai Lama is a paid and funded leader of India and the West to weaken China, but that will be a failure in the long term.

If your tone continues to be negative on the forum, you may loose your privliges all together.:pakistan::china::pdf:

... Well soon they wont able to teach Canton in their schools the way things are going. Please do not talk about cast system in India. Because you dont know what you talking about. Cheers all. Have a wonderful day.

Sooner this dreadful-sounding dialect :-)flame:) gets untaught in school the better  BTW, you've been to Shanghai, do you know anything about the "teaching" of Shanghai dialect in school?

No, you stayed in your hotel and b!tched about Fox News.

From your post, it's apparent that you know neither country. Now I agree this caste thing is often set up as the favourite straw man by China boys running out of words...

But Hukou's counterpart is not the caste system, but the sprawling slums. A choice had to be made.

"... but at least a guy from small village in tamilnadu can go to Delhi, and start working with out anyone permission, or he can have 12 kids, if he wants, or gather 1000s of people and shout against PM of India. He has freedom of language, freedom of movement, justice, religion, speech etc."

It's curious the way neo-cons pay back-handed compliments to India for their own end. This is not withstanding the fact that I am in fact finding Indian democracy quite a marvel on many levels.

But if "freedom of movement" for a Bihari means eking out a living in constant fear of the likes of Raj Thackeray, I personally pick Hukou - simply for it being the lesser of two evils overall ...

The Naxalites do fight for a reason - and it's not Communism they are fighting for.

To China....

.....rubbish removed.......

India Votes....

:D

Incredible India?

Chinese people also want democracy but when we turned to India for learning experience, holy sh*t, we found India sucks big time. After 60 years of development India lag far behind almost in every field compares with China though the two countries were at about the same level 60 years ago. In fact India was ahead in many fields 60 years ago.

Indians like to boast they have better political system;they have all the access to western technologys blah blah but what's the end result? what's the ground reality?
If with a better political system plus easy access to western technology but India still lag far behind, are you forcing people to believe Indians are just stupid like what the pic showed?

Stop boasting Indian democracy, it's a very bad example of democracy.

Do you what? The most powerful country I knew which had socialism (very similar to communism) broke up into multiple pieces. Its ego got so bad and now the real news comes out that people were unhappy in their state.

I am sorry that many Indians are trying to explain democracy to you guys. It is a concept that very difficult to understand when they have only lived in dictatorship basis. It is just like talking to Iraqi Shia and Iraqi Sunni not to blow each other up. Things were better during Sadam. All of them were fighting to get rid of him.

China is ahead of India but it is still a "developing" country with low GDP/capita, yes better than India.

You are kind of comparing a beggar with two plates and another beggar with one plate. The beggar with two spoons and two plate is saying that his life is way better that he does not have to clean his plate to get new food. Hurray! Way to go! A rich man standing on the side hears the talk and smiles

Eventually China has to turn to democracy and India has to reduce its bureaucracy. India also cant expect to have Mao who has destroy places of worship and stamp CCP on it. So things change but a snail pace! At the end of the day, it is a matter of preference - Indians choose democracy and Chinese choose growth.
