I said I don't go for prostitution and gambling cause in China we always associate those two together, so I gave you an example, why you just can see the point?

You said you went to Atlantic City, it aint in SF, the place I was asking about. it's around 1600 mile from SF.......sure, why not pick a further example, wait, you can't, it's already coast to coast literally.

And Casino did not have prostitute, no matter how much of a tramp these women dressed, Atlantic City Casino was controlled by the mob, they don't let that operate in their Casino.

And SF have NO casino.

So your "example" does not really make sense.

Who said it's in SF? I said when I lived in NY, Some friends also asked me to go to Atlantic city even I don't gamble, same as some friends took me to red district in SF even I don't go for prositution. you can't see that logic?

Read the post ypu quote when you answer with your Atlantic City example??

And there are NO gambling in red light district, ONLY Prostitution and Stripper.

Some friends took me there, I didn't even know what that place was about.

I don't gamble, but my friends always asked me to go with him to Atlantic city to gamble when I lived in New york, they had special free shuttle service and free food in the casinos in Atlantic city, so why not.

Now understand?

Dont mind those like him. As I always said, they are enjoying their life in the West while praising how nice, good and prosperous their home country is, while badmouthing the country in which they immigrated to/live in. Lol If thats not the height of hypocrisy then i dont know what that is. Lol At least i can still respect those Chinese like @beijingwalker, since they decided to stay and live in China (or maybe just happen to be. Lol,) since at least i can understand they will praise their country while living in it and contributing first hand to its growth..
Who do you think you are that you should have monopoly of opinions of speech ? And when did I bash about the country I am living in now ? I just crticize US and India most, if you dont like it, tough luck. You lie about Chinese matters all the time, its despicable.

The demand for live in nannies from China is so great here in SF that people are probably resorting to these smugglers. I paid $8k per month for a live in nannie last year, heard the going rate is around $9k now. It's all under the table so they don't even need to pay taxes on it. So no, these women aren't prostitutes.

Lets put this way, the US is definitely not the country most wealthy Chinese that want to immigrate to, but its the country most illegal Chinese immigrants want to go to.

I think it is safe to assume some Chinese millionaire is not putting their life in the hands of some Mexican gang to get them over the border and there are far more desperate people trying to flee China than rich people.

4327 Chinese applies for EB-5 visa to the US in 2019

You have to invest at least 1 million USD to get EB-5......

There were 42 in 2000......

Wealthy Chinese immigrants can go through legal channels easily. US is not among their top choices.

Why have to go through all the troubles and taking the risk
with 60k+ i can help to settle in west coast
60k + travel expenses + paperworks( for female over 40)
under 40 will cost much higher

I do know a lot of Chinese people who came in United States illegally. The majority of them were from Fujian Province and Fuqing area in particular. And some were from northern eastern provinces. Most of them work illegally in Chinese restaurants and other lowly jobs. If you do an investigation, you will be surprised to know how many Americanized Chinese restaurants are owned by Fuqing Chinese.

Like 10 years ago, it was rather easy to apply refugee visa because you could make up bullsh*t stories to testify you are oppressed by China and US immigration agency would accept it, some common reasons they used include one-child policy and religious freedoms. In the process of appealing, they were given temporary work permits along with SSN.

But in recent years, the policy seems tightening-up a bit, that could explain the number dip in the last 5 years. Also, during the past 5 years, China’s economy was strong and people were optimistic about their future. But after the Covid shit-show and world economic downturn, some people become quite unhappy with Chinese government. Thus, the number spiked.

What dip in the last 5 years?
Maybe in the last 2 because of Covid which is going to show across the board declines..not just China.

But here are the people getting naturalizations..it's not showing any signs of a downward trend over the last 20 years as China became more prosperous.

Chinese Naturalizations
2019: 39,490
2018: 39,600
2017: 37,674
2016: 35,794
2015: 31,241
2014: 30,284
2013: 35,387
2012: 31,868
2011: 32,864
2010: 33,969
2009: 37,130
2008: 40,017
2007: 33,134
2006: 35,387
2005: 31,708
2004: 27,309
2003: 24,014
2002: 32,018

This is not a small total either..that's ~630,000 Chinese people who became US citizens...and that's not even counting those who came over and didn't.

To put just the 630,000 into perspective..that's a lot of stadiums full of people. The famous Beijing "Bird's Nest" Stadium holds only 80,000 people and this pic is a tiny slice of it.
