That's right you can compare both the girls then would decide. but personally love marriage counts more as you no the buddy as for being partner.

Doesn't life gets a bit boring sometimes.......I'll vote for marriage just for a change..... and better a love marriage; if you see that it's only once you are going to marry someone in your life.(life aik he barr milte he bhai ,shadi bhe marzi ke na ho to kia faida phirr.....)

Also agree with JonAsad ,choose someone by yourself and then try to get it arranged by your parents ,the best option i guess....trust me if it works ,you'll be one successful man.

On a serious note, it doesn't matter, what matters is that the person you're getting married to is decent, educated and comes from an honorable and religious family. Islam does give explicit rights to the girl and boy to choose their future spouse or reject a suitor. What is ur subject of PhD and where are you doing it from?

Hahahahah - i had tried to convince someone to hold the girl's hand, run to the court and get a marriage -otherwise no fun in having a "love marriage"

Too bad - the dude has so far spent a fortune planning the wedding and is still spending more - looks more of an arranged set-up than a marriage to his love ... a nikah at the masjid would've cost even less.
