Could be wrong so either amend it or scrap it but judges has to make decision as per definition of treason given in constitution..scarp the legal system if nobody is ready to follow it and want pick and choose as per their own desires and wishes

I am not talking about the definition but its APPLICATION .... which in this case was specifically applied wrong as it clash with Universal Principle of Impartial Justice as that particular Article under which this special court was set was Amended in 2010 .... then even during the trial, court unilaterally declare Prevaiz Musharaf the sole responsible for 3 November, 2007 Emergency and accepted the NS government plea that notification for Emergency is missing / not in official record ignoring the fact that SC bench headed by Chief Justice of that time Iftikhar Chaudhry on the eve of 3 November 2007, declare it unconstitutional on the basis of Emergency Notification so where that notification have gone ....???

Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor, in a statement issued following the verdict in the high treason case against General retired Pervez Musharraf on Tuesday, said the "decision given by special court has been received with lot of pain and anguish by rank and file of Pakistan Armed Forces".

"An ex-Army Chief, Chairman Joint Chief of Staff Committee and President of Pakistan, who has served the country for over 40 years, fought wars for the defense of the country can surely never be a traitor," said the director general of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). "The due legal process seems to have been ignored including constitution of special court, denial of fundamental right of self defence, undertaking individual specific proceedings and concluding the case in haste."

"Armed Forces of Pakistan expect that justice will be dispensed in line with Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan," he said.

If this is true then this blows the cover. The Army generals need to be told by the Government to keep their political opinions to themselves.

This man is praising a general who imposed Martial Law, who begged the Americans for covert support to get back into power, and who declared illegal state of emergency and forced it by removal of court judges via the barrel of the gun.

How can the Army which claims it will uphold the values of a Jamhooriat say they are grieved that an ex General who broke this Jamhooriat be sentenced.

No. Bhutto was allowed to become a martyre for many followers on a contrary. They do not want the same for PM. A death penalty for being a traitor is carefully designed to kill one's honor as well as life so that he becomes a dead personality without any positive legacy left behind. This is more of a political vandetta than to make justice prevail. A dirty strategy indeed.

When India celebrates a decision of Pakistan, than you can judge about the credibility of that decision !

On contrary, in absence of Hassan Nawaz, Hussain Nawaz & Ishaq Dar judiciary cant do the hearing of their cases but rules are different in case of Musharraf, why?

Process was speedup to give relief to Nawaz and this judiciary aided the actual "traitor" to flee away from the country, why?

Why LHC or IHC listen to plea of Sharif family on even weekends? Where the F**K does it happen anywhere else in the world?

Judiciary is certainly misusing their powers, they should be held accountable for their actions too, because this is a clear imbalance of power.

Last but not the lease, why arent they releasing volume 10 to the public? A petition should be files to open volume 10 ASAP so that we all get to know how "traitor" Nawaz, Zardari & others have sold their country and than their fate should be the same - death sentence.
