Army deploying Bofors at Arunachal border.

.
The number of bofors is very very low. Now that the OFB is building upgraded bofors the numbers will finally go above 500 in a year or two (hopefully). In reality almost 1500 are needed.

Umm....a major artillery depot has been quite near my hometown for more than two decades now ( i saw it when i first crossed my hometown) and it is no secret, it is in a valley and i'm quite sure that place infact had bofors as sometimes we could see them. also we saw them while being transported. Does India has any other gun the size of bofors?

When will you Pakistanis realize this simple logical statement? It is PRECISELY BECAUSE we have so many soldiers and so much force superiority over you, that we are in a position to say you are no competition for us.

If we didn't have that much force projected against you, you would be a threat. But since we have this unbeatable superiority in force and numbers, you are no longer a threat.

And we don't have one million soldiers on your border. We have enough to feel that you can no longer be a threat. But not one million, not even close.

Unbeatable superiority? hahaha you make me laugh. If we werent a threat, you wouldnt have deployed so many units against us. Its the fear of the might of Pakistan army :chilli: ... Serious note: We got a nuke, so the hell with your superior numbers. They will disappear in a blink of flash :sniper:

The only reason they are offering us is because Indian defense expenditure is increasing every year and India is going to buy 100 billion $ worths of weapon in next 5 years. US economy needs money and jobs and these weapons sale provided jobs to thousands in US. If you don't know Boeing deal saved thousands of jobs they were going to cut.

Also India is trying to diversify its weapon arsenal and reduce dependency on Russia, hence everyone wants a piece of pie. And they are offering their best.

It all comes down to money.

So tell me what makes sense. US already know India will buy weapon for China too. They don't have to pitch India against anyone. Its already in our foreign policy and defense policy.

Nope, i am not buying it. US didnt offer you guys F-15 or F22. If it was about money, they would have done so. Its not about money but pinning India against China.

The reason is because there is a history of aggression from Pakistan as far as India is concerned. It makes sense to deploy such assets then does it not?

Yes, exactly! But to claim that Pakistan is not even in the equation or is no match for Indian army (as some people did) is ludacris.

Yaar you are too new for this forum. US didn't offer F-22 to even UK as they didn't wanted to give it to anyone. As for F-15, we didn't needed them, they offered s F-18SH and F-16 Block 60. Two planes. Well leave it. May be other members can tell you all about it.

BTW US offered Apache 64D Block III and I think you know its the most advanced Attack helicopter in the world.

It is stupid to underestimate your enemy. The IA certainly doesn't! It is no lie to claim the IA holds conventional military superiority over Paksitan though.
