AA guns are no match for the 4th generation jet-figheters, Pakistan should replace them with home made SAMs i.e. if they have any.

its good air defence only long range is little short and on they HQ-9 and MBDA-SPADA 2000 will soon finish this lack also

Did you know that in Iraq AA guns much less advanced than this manned by Iraqi soldiers in a urban area were to able to ground a whole regiment of American Apache gunship helicopters? On TV when we saw those Iraqi soldiers dancing around that downed Apache, it wasn't some advanced SAM that had shot that Apache down...it was an old Soviet era AA gun! The whole fleet of gunships took so many hits that it was declared un-airworthy and grounded for the rest of the war. American pilots talked about 'hell' in that they couldn't see where the fire was coming from.

Everything has its place in the battlefield.

GOP should procure more of YL-2, 6, 12 Radars and HQ series of SAMs by sheer numbers
and shouldn't depend on any of the PLANNED DELIVERY of the already- ordered defence related materials from Westerners, since war criminals could influence all the Western Governments to halt delivery during their aggressions. If front runners of GOP has any sorts of common sense then they should stop looking at F-Sola and other carrots, since there might not be any more PK by the time those carrot's delivery time is up, IMO.

Thats because the AH-64 and by extension all Western attack helos are not gunships in the manner of Russian models such as the Mi-24, -28 and Ka-50 are in battlespace application. Western AHs fulfill support roles as armed battlespace recon (scouts) and tank hunters whearas Russian AHs are designed to suppress OPFOR armour and infantry complementing friendly assets. In OP IF above the Apaches were used as the primary assault vehicle-talk about incorrect usage! The AH-64 in its current Block III incarnation is more inclined towards Russian application with improved applique shielding and improved Longbow radar for NLOS Hellfire targeting which should deal with nasty situations like above by conferring first sight first shot for the AH gunner.

PAF Air Defence should upgrade its crotales with NG Series!!!

CROTALE NG
A modernised version, the Crotale NG (New Generation) entered production in 1990. This version uses the new VT-1 hypervelocity missile with Mach 3.5 speed, load factor to 35G, 11 km range, 13kg warhead (8m kill-zone) and 6,000+ m ceiling. The system includes a S-band Pulse Doppler radar (20km), Ku-band TWT tracking radar (30km), Thermal camera (19km), Daylight CCD camera (15km), and an IR localiser.
