The last one though is a puja ceremony for the new planes Air India inducted. It is like a blessing being performed for the aircrafts so that it does not face mishaps.

Goats sacrificed to fix Nepal jet
Nepal's state-run airline has confirmed that it sacrificed two goats to appease a Hindu god, following technical problems with one of its aircraft.

The offering was made to Akash Bhairab, the Hindu god of sky protection, whose symbol is seen on the company's planes.

Aren't they supposed to be vegetarians?
Our diet is dictated by the terrain around us...Nepal is a hilly area where vegetable production definitely can't be as high as india..they can't go around preaching vegetarianism...even Buddha was a non veg...tomorrow if Gujarat turns to a semi desert I am sure even people there will take to meat.Aren't they supposed to be vegetarians?
