I'm surprised you find this surprising. Has to do a lot with faith than anything else. We all need something to believe in. I'm a hardcore non-veg eater. But I try not to belittle people who are vegetarians. Each one to his own I say.

Yes I've seen different communities do different things. It really depends on your upbringing, not particularly your region per se.

Thanks sir its all about your family values & its not & cannot be forced its your own inner self which helps you to control your senses thanks & no hard feelings towards anyone .

True..but I'll go one step further. After your upbringing it finally boils down to the lifestyle choice you make and what you believe in.
Yes in the end its what you bileve in..! more than any thing else its your & yours only decesion...Anyway thanks Sir for your support .Thanks Again .

.
Wrong argument sir.. that's for gaining knowledge so that u can save lives not to please your taste buds...

Well, seriously i don't have any problem with people eating non veg.. it's their life, their choice...

taraar mtlb??

taraar means nothing,just for rhyming.

Anyway,i am okay with fish and eggs and milk.

The bigger concern is with freshness.I would like to eat desi anda, fresh bhains ka dudh and fresh saltwater fish.

persay,i am very happy with vegetables.

So you are vegeterian because of religious reasons or you are vegetarians because you care about animal rights?

Cause i am a Human and i have a heart..

would you be a vegetarian if Brahman was allowed to eat meat?
Definitely yes..

Do you think vegetarianism is morally superior to meat consumption?
Yes, I Do.

I have few family members who are vegetarian for no reasons and they always subjected to limited options when eating out in parties. Many peoples simply don't comprehend why anyone would not want to eat meat

Everything boils down to priorities. I see that many believe that their entertainment/desires/satisfaction for taste are more important than compassion and concern for others.
