Did Humans evolve from Chimpanzees? What do you think about evolution theory? Does it go with Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam)? I know Hinduism has a monkey deity called Hanuman. Does it mean Hindus believe in evolution theory?

Evolution is the only theory that can reconcile the knowledge gained from archaeology, biology and anthropology. Religious texts are interlopers that have no basis in facts. For example, the Bible leads to such distortions in human thought that many religious people in the United States believe that humans coexisted with dinosaurs. Such BS is fundamentally incompatible with what humans now know about the world that we live in.

Hmm, hinduism does not provide any theory of evolution. But due to lack of any strong hindu belief contradicting the theory, hindus probably find it easy to accept than people of abrahamic faith.

Dude humans did NOT evolve from chimpanzees . Chimps and humans have a common ancestor.

No we are not, however modern Humans and chimpanzees branched out from same ancestral proto-human/chimp(very simplistic explanation).

Not evolved per say, we just have a common ancestor. Somewhere down the line we separated. That picture of the ape, I'm not sure what species it is exactly but, it's not a chimpanzee. Though it is probably our ancestor and not a chimpanzee's ancestor. Chimpanzees are just that, chimpanzees.

As for religious views on evolution it seems to vary. I don't think Hanuman automatically means that Hindus believe in evolution. However from what it seems, Hindus accept evolution by quite a large margin. Evolution doesn't go with traditional religious views of people following Abrahamic faiths however Jews believe in Evolution by a large percentage. For Christians it depends on the Denomonition. Muslims, not so much. Pew did a poll on this, but it's limited in America only.

Based on my interactions with people of these fates, it seems to be accurate for the most part.
