Arab coalition command holds humanitarian workshop on Yemen in Riyadh. (SPA)

The Saudi-led Arab coalition to restore legitimacy in Yemen stressed on Monday that its operations are based on purely humanitarian factors and it aims to protect the Yemeni people from Iran’s expansion and its Houthi militias.

Commander of the joint forces in the alliance, Fahd bin Turki bin Abdulaziz declared that had it not been for the coalition, Yemen would now be at the mercy of Iran.

He made his remarks during the opening of a humanitarian workshop on Yemen held in Riyadh and organized by the coalition command, United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

Any effort in Yemen aims to improve the lives of the people to achieve development and stability, added Fahd bin Turki.

Saudi Ambassador to Yemen Mohammed al-Jaber hailed the workshop, saying it serves stability to achieve security and peace in Yemen.

Houthis didnt start this war at the instance of Iran. Houthis started their independence/authonomy push in Yemen around 2004. Thats were it all started, and They didnt do it at Iran's insistence. Iran found the Yemen war convenient for its interests yes, and the Houthis were also willing "partners", but even US analysts say it over and over again- Houthis are not a full blown Proxy of Iran. Iran actually advised them not to take the Yemen capital some years ago, and they went ahead...and the relationship continues. I believe Iran has been a voluntary partner in this war, not a mandatory one. Houthis being pressured by Saudis prolly forced them more into Iran's hands...which was not Iran's fault again..


Iranian missiles came in way after the war already started...dont sort and arrange the logic of this war based on your confirmation bias..do it chronologically.
