To be honest, most Western countries and ASEAN are doing their best to reduce reliance on China.

Alot of countries local industries have been ransacked by Chinese goods. Only now some of the countries are realizing this.

Chinese providing subsidies to their local industries do not help either. I see the trend rising, where big companies shifting or diversifying their operations out of China.

Huawei phones are superior to Apple.

Huawei phones used to be great, before they got sanctioned. Now I'd never recommend a Huawei phone to regular folks who might find it difficult to install gapps package.

Also a good phone should be a optimised package of both hardware and software as well as support. Currently only Samsung phones are the competitors for Apple in terms of these criteria.

Personally I hate iOS and love the freedom of Android phones and in most instances have better hardware than iphones. But for older people and people who are tech illiterate, iPhone is the best option as it does everything so well. Also video recording on iPhone is still the best amongst all phones imo.

Now...We do understand that statistics are lagging indicators. Essentially, something has to happened before we can collect and analyze the data. Hence, the word 'lagging' or delayed. But what it also means is that things have momentum and it means we will have to wait several more months to see the effects of these decline as economies moves away from depending on China. The decoupling from China is not beginning but ALREADY underway.

They may encourage moving to countries other than China, but not necessarily to the US. The trend toward diversification is already underway. Actually, China forced it.
