My 3yrs old White Macbook never crashed on me, being a developer I had every tool at in my hand, like Java based Eclipse, Obj C Xcode, C++ programming using VIM and G++,GDB etc etc

Also I want to point out at Desi man, the SCM tools, or database stuff. You never do such kind of stuff on standalone machine or laptop. Best way is to do remotely using SSH, Telnet or Remote Desktop to the server, these tools are such that you can do with any client OS be it Linux, Win or Mac OSX.

Mac is like BMW of computing and Windows like Toyota Corolla both can take you from X to Y but it depends how much better experience you want.

Some more 'urban legends' propagated by Mac fans. Just like 'it works' etc. I have heard of these 'BMW' arguments before. The last I checked BMW does not force me to fill gas from certain brand name or I have to 'jail break' it to do things which the manufacturer won't allow. I would have paid for my BMW and I expect to paint it technicolor IF wanted to.

Apple is more like a Mazda pretending to be a BMW.

Please tell us non-elite audience here what we can't do on a Windows based PC? I bet everything needed for programming or modeling can and have been done on Windows platform for decades. They are probably done as efficiently as any Apple guy does.

I am also a developer myself and have a bunch of things running on my computer all the time. But what I do I on my Windows platform is far cheaper and customizable. I even run a Windows Server 2003 exposed to outside world in a virtual environment and that too has never been hacked even though all kinds of ports are open (I need them).

Time to bust Apple's myths and lies. Sure, I am not going to go overboard and claim that Apple's products are bad. Such kind of propaganda and Big Brother videos are best done by Apple. But I will justifiably claim that a Windows based system can and does make far more economic sense and has greatly boosted the innovations in hardware and software over the years. Apple, on the other hand, can claim a few shiny toys for premium prices.

Apple is not a bad brand, I am not a user of any product of Apple and won't go for Apple. Ofcouse Apple stress more on elegant design but inside is same as other Product of other brands. Over the time I've compared Apple macs with Dell and other companies I found Apple to be somewhat under powered product only souped up with more design applications when it come to software, hardware the configuration is still not powerful enough for example Memory and more.
Yes these days there are so many mac fan online who funnily don't own Apple products but sing praise songs. However I do acknowledge their approach is unique.

eric_cartman..my brother, Mac is not bmw, its a myth i am sure you are referring to Operating System funny thing is I use Windows based Systems my brother uses Apple based and Apple does crash and has bugs.
More Windows based system are in the world therefore they are targeted more. Now this is the reality. I'm a heavy user from applications development, gaming, downloads, graphics to everything I do is on Windows based systems I found Windows to be more powerful then girlish OSX, never the less Apple and its operating systems are too very capable. Its just a marketing war that is giving Microsoft bad name reasons are price and nothing else. I'm posting this using my Dell 7 months old never restored the OS and very stable it alone breaks the myth that Windows is toyota. I find Windows F-22 where as Apple OS su-35

Even (EVEN!) iPhone users can switch to Windows Phone 7--see the article below. The arstechnica review is probably the most comprehensive review of Windows Phone 7 out there. Engadget is too much of an Apple Fanboi Club: Almost incapable of criticizing Apple (but then is that surprising from cult members?).
Bottom line: Apple's products are way too pricey despite being 'cool'. Not all of us are mooching-off-your-parents hipsters. Not all of us are gullible (the right word) to have bought a system for 3x the price of a worthy competition.

Apple users have to justify their (very expensive) purchase by constantly jumping up and say:
'Look. I have a Mac. It is cool. It just works. Please buy it so that I don't feel like I made the wrong choice. Please. Please buy an Apple. It does not get viruses. It does not get BSOD. And, oh, beware of the Big Brother.'

All the while, unless you you have stocks in Apple, Steve Jobs and his investors are laughing their heads off to the bank. This is from a cult with rich members who have not really known themselves for charity work unlike Bill Gates.

But then...why should we be surprised by people buying more than they can afford to buy: Didn't people buy Hummers and 6000 sq ft homes just to look 'cool' before?

Now to the arstechnica article. Note, Apple Fanbois, this article does manage to criticize the new Windows Phone 7 platform. How often you guys criticize what Steve Jobs offer you? You guys need some soul searching (or a psychologist).

Windows Phone 7: The Ars Review

Well, I made the jump from iPhone 3G which I have had and enjoyed for 2 years and I must say it's fantastic. I used to have a Windows Mobile phone but got so fed up with it I switched to Apple and never looked back.

I bought the HTC HD 7 yesterday and it's an awesome phone, great display, nice weight and excellent features, but above all, it's a beautifully crafted phone. I must say, jumping straight from a familiar iPhone to the Windows Phone 7 is a daunting one, it is very different to what I have become used to and using Hubs is quite different to the familiar, one icon one app approach, but I'm getting used to it and REALLY starting to like it.

A word of warning though, if you do intend to switch to Windows Phone 7, make sure you do the following first: -

1) Clean and Tidy up all your contacts, all of them everywhere. Whether they be Hotmail or GMail etc. clean them up. For when you add these accounts, your new phone will suck them in and place them under the People tile. If you don't clean them up, they will look a mess. If you (like me) use a mail client (I use Outlook 2007). Your contacts in here will not be imported, but don’t worry, export them to a Windows Comma Separated file and then import them into your web mail (I use Hotmail, the procedure is so easy my cat could do it lol)

2) Do the same with your Music and Video collections, or the same will happen in Zune when you import these.

The Zune experience is very different to iTunes. Again, after 2 years of iTunes, jumping into Zune is a culture shock, but again, it’s a really great application. To be honest, even though I loved my iPhone, I never really was totally enamoured with iTunes, perhaps the Mac version is different to the PC version I had, but I really was not #1 fan boy. Zune is a totally different kettle of fish, I have never used Zune before, but so far, what I see I really like. It’s also crisps and clean and simplistic like the phone O/S.

I'm really looking forward to getting to know this phone, well done (at last) Microsoft!

Would I recommend this phone to iPhone or Android users, you betcha!
