Anyone here use a Chromebook?

Got a Chromebook today and I'm fairly impressed with it. Some cons, but a lot more Pros.

Just wanted to see what others experiences were in general.

Originally got a Samsung Chromebook 3. But I decided to return it because the 11.6 inch screen was just too small for me.

Ended up with a HP Chromebook 14"

Nah! But thinking about it and hindsight being 20-20, I probably should have waited a little while longer I guess.

I have a chrome book, and I hated it. I could not get it to work with any printers. Kind of made it useless.... never again. Pure Linux is better as it works with most printers, or Win 10. Take ur pick.

Sorry about your bad experience. In my case, I don't need it for printing so I guess I lucked out.

It's been plug and play with virtually every device I've plugged into it (so far)

The Chrome OS has come a long way since the first Chromebooks came out for five or so years ago that's for sure.

Been using one since 3 years now. Not available in India, so got it from Best Buy in NY. It is showing its age now. But for for 3 years never a problem - fantastic updates. Everything on the cloud. I am very keen to get the Surface Go now but ideally would prefer another Chromebook. Let's see. Mine is an Asus with a 13.3 inch screen and the battery lasts long even now. Compared to my Dell laptops which are Windows, I prefer the chromebook for everything except some software which requires Windows.

It is ok. i used it for a while when travelling much easier to lug around for basic stuff. Essentially this is chromixium build with the chrome; the fellow who did the earlier build of ubuntu in this image was taken up by google to replatform; underneath the chromebook is an ubuntu kernel running.

I've only owned it for a week, but so far so good. I know there are several new Chromebooks coming out soon as well.

If there is any negative at all, there is no ethernet port. But I know most Chromebooks don't have them. I'm currently using a USB C to ethernet adapter and it's working great.
