Rate of fire is 5000-6000 rounds per minute but pic has mentioned 550-600

its a helicopter based gun to convert light transport helicopters to make shift gunships and fire support
like Huey
we dont use rapid fire guns at LoC we will run out of Ammo in minutes.
we use lower to moderate fire rate sustained and hard hitting guns 12.7mm and above. yes our MG 1 A 3 is no slow rate either but thats an exception.
normally we hit at discovered bunker positions and some times the ranges are on average of 2 miles or above
and fire from such gun will be spread out.
this gun is mainly a suppressive fire gun or an exposed target like a vehicle or body of men

with exceptions where we are very close like in Madarpur and Bhimber sector for example where I have been were we can even hear each other and have trenches few feet from each other

Most effective is ATGM, then 12.7mm sniper rifle, mortar and artillery.

MG class comes after that, be it 7.62mm or 12.7mm.

Useless waste of ammo. Snipers are far more efficient.

Snipers for discreet targets of patience not skirmishes which require fire power.

this gun is usually used by u.s army for firing from helicopter and was used in afghanistan many times
