If this is correct then the Jail authorities must get a kick.

Another Pakistani prisoner, Abdul Jabbar, was reportedly attacked in a jail in New Delhi on Tuesday and is in critical condition, Express News reported.

Two Indian prisoners, Ranjeet and Ajay Kumar, allegedly attacked Jabbar’s face and neck with a blade, leaving him injured.

He was shifted to the jail infirmary to apparently keep the incident out of the media limelight so as to not incite more tit-for-tat attacks.

Jabbar was arrested after his visit visa to India expired and he was charged with committing espionage for Pakistan. He has so far spent nine years imprisoned in Tihar Jail.

Earlier on Thursday, Pakistani prisoner Sanaullah Haq succumbed to his injuries after being attacked by fellow inmates in a Srinagar jail last week. Hi body was flown back to Pakistan on Thursday evening.

Family distressed

Listening to news of attack on their loved one, family members of the Pakistani prisoner in Tihar Jail were shocked and demanded President Asif Ali Zardari to use diplomatic sources to ensure his treatment in Pakistan.

Talking to The Express Tribune, family members of Abdul Jabbar, who hails from Lahore, said they had not received any official information about his health with television informing them about the attack. Riaz Ahmed, Jabbar’s brother, lives in Dharampura area of Lahore. He told The Express Tribune that their mother, a heart patient, had lost her senses after hearing the news about Jabbar.

Ahmed added that Indian law enforcing agencies arrested his 50 year old brother in 2009 on an FIR registered which named a suspect as Syed Amir Ali. Ahmed says Jabbar was subsequently implicated him by labelling him with a fake name.

Aftab Ahmed, a close relative of Jabbar, told The Express Tribune that they are unable to contact him as they were not given any number to contact him.

600 Pakistani pilgrims’ Ajmer visit under cloud

600 Pakistani pilgrimsâ?? Ajmer visit under cloud - Times Of India

JAIPUR: The death of Sarabjit Singh has put paid to hopes of numerous Pakistanis who visit Ajmer's dargah sharif to observe Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti's death anniversary every year. Following threats from several right-wing groups, a delegation of 600 Pakistani pilgrims fearing retaliatory attacks like the one inside Jammu's Kot Bhalwal jail, have put their plans of reaching Ajmer from Lahore by May 11 on hold.

Pakistan high commission sources told TOI that they are reviewing the situation whereas some members of the delegation said their trip to join the 801st Urs in memory of Khwaja stands cancelled. There have been only two years in the past - both in times of conflict, in 1965 and 1971 - when Pakistani delegations could not come.

"The excitement of visiting Ajmer has reduced," said Aamir Khan, a member of the delegation. "I have no official communication but I am ready to go for the Urs on a day's notice," said Khan, of Hyderabad in Sindh province.

A leading legal luminary from Lahore, requesting anonymity, said, "The train will cross Wagah, which is Sikh dominated, and halt in Delhi, which also has sizeable Sikh population. We have heard about threats from right wing groups opposing our visit in Ajmer. It seems this is not the right time for us to visit Ajmer."

A section of khadims (priest) along with political parties like the BJP, Shiv Sena and other right wing groups like VHP, Bajrang Dal, Jat Mahasabha and Karni Sena, have issued threats of not allowing Pakistan nationals to attend the Urs.

Among the 600 Pakistanis expected to reach Ajmer were retired high court judges, advocates, bureaucrats, sajjada nashins (priest at shrines) and members of al major political parties. The delegation offers 'chaddars' on behalf of Pakistan president and from political parties.

how are the indian prisoners armed.......... possibly they want them to slaughter each other as they are indian prisoners !!!!!

Well, I can say it as a principle, if govt is unable/unwilling to give them security, exchange is an excellent idea along with a grovelling apology to everybody.

Indians are showing their true colors. First these Indians celebrate a murderer of 14 innocent people as a hero, and now they are killing Pakistanis in jails, who aren't even guilty of murder.

Also see how these Indians bitched about their mass murderer getting killed, but they are doing the same thing.

True colors of Indians...

Disgusting colors though..

not a new things. prisoners do get such things through corrupt police gauards.

small arms like blades are easily smuggled into jails. Watch some movies about jails. There is usually a hierarchy among prisoners in jails, not everybody has access to weapons/things that can be used as weapon.

True or false color. This should NOT happen. They are only harming other human being including their own fellows.
