@Nilgiri I am not going into long details with this but I will make a few observations here. Indian's are amongst the most conspicious groups in the West - only the Blacks are more conspicious. Yet all too often they show support for far right groups. Because right now the Muslims are the target of the far right, Indian's try to ride that horse to vent their hatred of Pakistan which of course they see as bastion of Islam. This is pretty evident even on PDF. As I always say to them take a look at the mirror.

The fact is many Middle Eastern Muslims are almost inconspicous in the West. What Indian's need to wake up to is the very groups who peddle hatred for Muslims are actually driven by racism. Today they might be after Muslims but tomorrow it will be Indians. Adam Purinton in Kansas City perfectly demonstrated that.

Fair enough to a point. I certainly feel distaste to anyone worshipping Trump or any other leader like they are deity. It is one thing I despise in many segments of Hindu culture....I call it the "avatar" complex. Its no surprise they leap in a pavlovian way to support something that catches their ear regarding their own hate complexes. I wouldn't mind seeing them actually come face to face with the very extremists they think are their comrades in "perceived enemy of my perceived enemy is my absolute friend" complex. But thats a long topic for another day.

All I'm really saying is that Trump ought to be given a fair shake rather than coming to immediate conclusions about who he is and what he will do....based on whatever perception you may or may not have had during his campaign etc (esp if it was gleamed on the basis of the media which also snootily projected that he would lose the election terribly...that he has absolutely no path to winning etc).

I certainly am becoming increasingly wary about certain elements around him and more somber about others (that look to be the same business as usual in US politics). However he certainly didn't mind zap that crazed veteran to go shoot at some indian bloke in a bar using his own inherent rabid xenophobia.....just like Obama didn't for the nut that went on a rampage on those poor sikhs in wisconsin gurdwara.

As far as what gets "emboldened" (esp to the point where law and order becomes a real problem w.r.t hate based murder)....well we need to give more time to that. The US is a very resilient country at heart. I do not excuse its imperfections (the response to which really are what define any country), but neither do I think any one person, president or not, can change fundamental societal outlook and demeanour....however you personally perceive them.

I mean I was promised by quite vocal people that there would be death marches, genocides and nuclear war by now on account of trump. I don't know whether to laugh or cry at that level of hysteria....and I do not appreciate it being prematurely transferred to any relatively random incident that would have happened anyway (given crazed racist nutjobs have always existed in various shapes and forms throughout the history of the US). The US is not some perfect country just because it is the most powerful one....far from it....but neither is it one that will see some massive complex change like Germany did before WW2. Lets revisit the issue at the end of each year (for the next 4 or 8 or however long Trump's in charge) and discuss it as neutrally as possible if you feel that way.

@LA se Karachi what are your opinions?

Yet Indians see Americans as gods, see America as heaven, begging America for F414 engines for Tejas. Where is their dignity?

they have no dignity.. we ruled them for 600+ years

. . . .
And in both instances, the justice system will find and prosecute the criminals as swiftly as possible. Rule of Law shall prevail.
Well said...This is not what America is about...Rule of law is supreme here .."God Bless America"

Who is pissed off about partition?
Best thing that happened to India IMO.
I think he was being sarcastic!

Well, your post is quite long. I'll just comment on parts of it.

Virtually no one promised "death marches" and "genocides". There are always some politically extreme people, and others who say something extreme in the heat of the moment. But lots of people were (legitimately) concerned that he would be a poor President in some nearly unprecedented ways.

And while you may not agree with their views, he in many ways has borne out their predictions with his statements, demeanor, policies, and Cabinet. He isn't behaving like a President. Again, you may not agree. But, people are allowed to comment on what he's done and how he's conducted himself thus far. His administration is unpopular and has many problems. He's been in office for a couple of months now.

I do believe that Trump's election, because of his campaign and what he symbolized to some people, has indeed emboldened some of these "racist nut-jobs"---that was always the real fear. As you say, there are always a few in every country, and the US is a pretty diverse, tolerant country. However, while I don't think his election alone explains some of these incidents, these crimes do seem to be rising a little bit (it's certainly not an epidemic), and his election may be a factor in some of them. We can never know for certain if Trump's election is a direct factor in any incident, unless the attacker clearly had a background in such things, like with the Quebec City mosque shooting.

In any case, I don't want to get into a debate on Trump or his general effect on America. This isn't the thread for that. Let's keep the focus on the poor man who lost his life, a crime which may have been motivated by xenophobia and/or racism.

@CleanWell What are your thoughts, sir?

ppl getting killed for no fault of their own is bad , Indian or some other nationality makes no difference.
posts here more or less are happy about Indian getting killed. Makes no sense to engage in such cheap threads which celebrates innocents death.
Hahahaha.. why you are so disturbed?
It is on world media. No more hidden just like Shiv Sena are doing with bihari majdoors in Mumbai...:taz:

You acting tough on intenet, tells a lot about you in real life.

Nice...a moderator taking part in the Shit throwing instead of doing what the title requires him to do... But hey, if don't like the way this forum is run, I can just move my *** to Bharatrakshak right? Got it.

Damn, so with this shooting officially 5 Indian shot at and 2 are dead now all within 1 week.

If this continues at this rate, Indian people will start thinking about leaving the U.S.

. .
I remember when Indians celebrated on their forums on the news of a Pakistani child beaten. I guess this was the 'karma' thing, Indians have been talking about.

You said your from the city, then you deny your from the city then further go to say you don't want to share where your from except that your from the ghetto which you also don't want to name. We all know whose making shit up. I'm sure your like Salman Khan in real life too.

@Mugwop is from NYC. She can tell you the reality of Indians in the big apple.
Only had a problem with 1 indian few years ago other than that i used to think they were peaceful people since they avoid confrontations with others and mind their own.On the internet you see their true face and how full of hate they are

Don't need to remind me buddy. Looking at all the crap being thrown around on this forum, it's quite obvious this is a. pakistani forum.
I don't have to pretend to be tough. The fact that you Indians are pussies all around is enough. Take care.
Yeah yeah. Turn off the computer and go protect some indians, God father.

I grew up in norway knowing tons of Pakistanis. Never in my whole life have I met even one pakistani who talked shit to me or indians I general, yet here everyone seem to have a problem with indians. Going by your own logic, those pakistanis I meet in real life are all fake, while here they are showing their true face? Is that how it is?

Please do us the favor. Take fellow hindutva trolls along with you.

Yeah yeah. The only reason you are here is so you can troll indians. You know it and I know it. What will you do if all indians packed up and left this forum? Who will you troll? You like having us here. Cant live with us and can't live without us;)
