During Cold War 1.0 Bolivia was where Che Guevara was killed. Now in Cold War 2.0 Bolivia is staunchly with the pro-China camp led by Cuba and Venezuela. Mexican President Obrador is pro-Cuba and Venezuela and is promoting the same kind of ideology in Mexico. It is very clear the US has lost in Latin America and the US is looking increasingly weak to Latin Americans.

President Obrador isn't openly the new Chávez. He is kind of doing a "wink wink, nudge nudge" thing where he pretends to be friendly to the US but to Mexicans it is very obvious that he is anti-US. It's a sort of dogwhistle politics. Even if he isn't openly belligerent towards the US in the Chávez style- he is moving the country towards Chávez-type ideology and thus in a direction that logically would lead closer and closer in the Cuba/Venezuela direction.

People have an image of how Latin American politics works. The image is- you have countries that are basically colonies of the evil US empire- Colombia is a current example, Brazil to some extent, Pinochet-era Chile, etc. Then you have the heroic independent countries bucking the system- led by Cuba and Venezuela.

And so the idea is- you are a colony if you are aligned with the US but if you join the Cuba-Venezuela "Axis of Resistance" you become this free, independent country and things fundamentally change. The US will launch imperialist conspiracies against you, however, and if the country collapses it's due to an imperialist plot and not because the extreme left policies don't work. Apparently, California must also be a victim of the imperialist plot.

Obrador was basically a response to Trump and a big middle finger to the US.

But he was a huge disappointment. I am sad that I was happy when he won. Honestly, he reminds me of Obama. I was tricked by Obama when I was a teenager and Obama's big slogan was "change". But then the US got Obama and he was basically the same as Bush just with a twist of promoting leftist/socialist type stuff and helping spawn massive sjw culture.

Imo Obrador is not that different than Obama. Obrador has been endorsed by both Chávez and Fidel. He has been a massive disappointment. You can get the right-wing pro-US people like his predecessors or you can get the leftist pro-Venezuela-Cuba people and you get the same garbage. It doesn't make all that much difference except you get some socialist stuff with the latter.

Mexico is not a colony of the US. Mexico is a colony of international Freemasonry. Obrador is a freemason. The people before him were freemasons. Mexico has been a Masonic dictatorship since independence from Spain. Cuba and Venezuela are controlled opposition. It's all a puppet show.

The answer is neither the garbage known as Communism nor US globohomo. The region needs people like General Franco who will brutally crush Freemasonry and deal with Communists in the proper Suharto/Pinochet manner. And in foreign policy, I am in favor of the region aligning with China. The ultimate need of the region is Islam, however.
