CPEC called game changer for this exact reason. I couldnt stress more on the fact that its just glimpse of whats coming. CPEC would completely transform Pakistan's economy.

Most probably Pak's ill wishers also suspect something like this!!! Hence, they're in the over-drive against CPEC...

$100 bn is not a big deal, it will be much bigger but most of it will come as an investment and not loans. For example, KSA is investing in CPEC and same goes for Russia and Qatar.. FDI will drastically increase as the CPEC nears completion.

Excellent post! Not many people look beyond the news here.

It makes more sense for China to start investments on Gwadar to Kashgar railway project (and may I add, a pipeline on the same route) now, keeping in picture the Saudi's investments. The refinery will take 5 years before it becomes operational and so will the rail track and the pipeline. It's the right time to make these investments.

The Frontier Works Organization (FWO) is actively scouting investors for the pipeline project.

Merkel didn't mention anything about investing in CPEC(based on the news I read)...that's why I'm asking how can u be so sure? Do u have some information that hasn't been made public yet?

I wouldn't care if it's investment related to CPEC or separate...investment is investment. I'm just asking him since he claimed that Germany is going to invest. So I was asking if he has some insider source bcuz no such announcement was made publicly. See below
