Turkey have its own NATO protection and have its own deterence, iran also has its own military industry and its own deference . so the point is as mute as saying Malaysia seek Pakistan protection in case of any hypothetical war with India.

I care about Pakistan as they are part of my Indo-Iranian ethnicity. I wish Pakistan support Persians and Turks rather than Arabs in this fight. Unfortunately that is not the case.

NATO is not going to protect Turkey. Turks and Persians are better off under Russian, Chinese or Pakistan's Umbrella.

NATO is not going to protect Turkey.

Neither would Pakistan or any other nation when the push comes, best exsample is Russia staying silent on Israeli raid's on Syria.

All in all NATO is still the best option Turkey has.

Why else does trump send his FM to Saudi and Turkey over the issue?
