The “whore” word was mentioned in my post that you quoted and were replying to. In that post you replied to, I asked, “does this mean that China also became a whore to the US and Japan from the 70s...?”

Facts is: china in the 70s under mao was a poor backward isolated country(a big versiom of north korea), so she sought U.S help to counter the U.S.S.R who was chinas main ennemy and greatest threat at the time. So China obviously needed a bigger power to counter a big power(U.S.S.R) it didnt stand a chance of defeating/countering. So it had to partner/cooperate with the U.S, some will call it whoring or beibg a lapdog(as China invaded vietnam in 1979 after consulting the U.S for its blessing/approval) me it call it self interest (looking after your intetests by all means ) not whoring. Its same situation Vietnam is in today, Vietnam is just doing what china did before, i.e pritecting its interests by all means, and that neans paetnering with a bigger power to counter a big power. Well, China did have an opportunity go retake Taiwan, if not for Stalin(promising to arm and equip the PLA) who pushed Mao to intervene in the Korean War then i believe Cjoba could have won back Taiwan. However, the Korean War ruined everything, and made the U S be more focus/histile to China, hence leading to the U.S-Taiwan mutual defence treaty, which now meant that it was not a chinese Civil war anymore,it now involved the U.S intervention in case the PLA decides to invade the island nation. So China obviously being no match for the U.S navy stood no chance in case of any conflict over Taiwan, hence mao had to be restrained. So here we are today with Taiwan still independent(due to Stalin and the Korean war).
By the war Vuetnams situation is different, as you were fighting the U.S inland with Soviet Russia and Chinas massive assistance, if nit for that the U.S/south Vietnam would have wiped iyt the VCP in a few weeks/months at best. Fighting a naval war is something else altogether. Vietnams navy cant defeat our coast guards, forget about the U.S navy.
