Sania Mirza grandfather, Mr. Mohammed Zaffer Mirza started his career as an Engineer in Nizam's Railways in Hyderabad in 1948 and died in his ancestral home in Hyderabad,” Sania explained, tracing her roots to the city.
Her great grandfather, Mr. Mohd. Ahmed Mirza, was also born and raised in Hyderabad. He was the Chief Engineer, Water Works, Hyderabad and was responsible for constructing the famous Gandipet dam. My great-great grandfather, Mr. Aziz Mirza, was the Home Secretary under the Nizam in Hyderabad and worked tirelessly for relief works during the historic Musi River floods of 1908

Nalsar to pioneer gender-neutral honorific in transcripts
University Vice-Chancellor Faizan Mustafa told Deccan Herald: “Nalsar generally grants certificates with an honorific, but many other academic institutions don't. We have given the 'Mx' honorific for Anindita Mukherjee in final year transcripts upon request.”
“I have requested the university to use 'Mx' as I did not want any gender-marker reflected in my degree, because I myself am not sure how I wish to be identified as,” said Anindita, adding that the request was made when the university sent the transcripts through email and asked the students how their name should appear in the final transcripts. “I wanted the honorific as 'Mx', and they agreed to it,” said the student.
Some wishes always remain wishes.
And yes they rule the tech world with tons of fake degrees that they take with them to usa ,i.t. degrees and then later get booted back to indiaonce scam is revealed.
And taller ,meh!! Just in dreams or for some pakistan hating non resident pakistani always spewing negative stuff against pakistan on fora.
People , politics , languages of Andhara , Telangana , Hyderabad ( state ) are like a world far away from say indian side of Punjab , occupied Kashmir and occupied indian north east
Goa is more southern than telangana...but we don't consider them south Indians...just cultural thingtraditionally Andra Pradesh (the undivided one), tamilnadu, kerala and karnataka are considered south Indian states.
You dont draw a line in the middle of India map and say theose below are south Indians and above north Indians.
When people say south Indian, they usually refer to a cultural/linguistic grouping.
A new state was carved out of Andhra Pradesh, its called telengana. The rest of Andhra Pradesh, is called Andhra pradesh (ya its annoying to atantz probably )
Maharastra looks like a south Indian state, but they are not, traditionally speaking. Every state which is not in south India (those 5 states) are unfortunately clubbed into north India (especially by south people). I think eastern India(west bengal, orissa, assam and other NE states) have distinct enough culture/language to be called east Indian states. Maharastra and gujrat should be called west Indian states but they dont mind being clubbed with noth Indians.
Exactly bro...if any new states are to be created...it should be from UP...This one state with huge population and poverty is dragging the country down...it's should be divided into three states!!Telangana is a new state, created from Andhra Pradesh last year.
And the next state will come from UP, atleast 2 new states are needed from UP.
Idiot, I am from West Champaran district of Bihar. I am proud bhumihar forward caste.
THIS IS A DEFAMATORY STATEMENT, I WILL TAKE IT TO THE EXTREMES OF LEGAL PROCEEDING AND YIU WILL REGRET THE DAY YOU INSULTED THE PROUD BHUMIHAR FORWARD CASTE OF THE ARYAN RACE
Now after all these days of controversy, comedy & drama, he(The Centre) has finally opened his mouth & said something. We are all truly blessed .
Now why don't they come & intervene b/w both states, bring both CMs to a common table headed by the Centre & clear out all the problems+hatred b/w both govt.s once & for all , after all haven't they created this mess due to this rushed & incompetent manner bifurcation took place
Oops. I forgot, wearing 10 lakh suits, taking selfies & giving interviews to biased journos Barkha Dutt, sagarika Ghose & N wagle who constantly abuse them, their party & their ideology is WAY more important.. After all how can the nation progress without such interviews.
Now can someone ask Venkiaiah when he plans to fulfill his grand promises of Special Status for 10 years to AP & Railway Zone for Vizag & if he intends to later call it an election ka Jumla, will he return all the gifts he took from people during Election time thanking him for promising such grand promises??
Centre Government always keeps eye on the state government politics which is one way or another way linked to the Centre Government funds.

AP, which started off with a deficit of ₹16,000 crore, has seen it shoot up to ₹20,000 crore.
During the Fourteenth Finance Commission meet, both States had petitioned the Commission to consider them for special treatment.
AP has hinted at a zero-based budget where funds are allocated after reviewing the progress of works to keep a tight leash on treasury.

AP finance minister issued a statement that AP State Government wants to seek special catergory status for 15 years and AP is having Budget deficit of over Rs 15,000 crore .
Yanamala said, “You all know about the weak financial condition of AP following bifurcation of the state. We are beginning with a deficit Budget of over Rs 15,000 crore for this year. However, the Centre has agreed to bear the entire revenue deficit this year. But this is not sufficient as it is not possible to find new revenue resources to bridge this deficit within a year."
"We want the Centre to bear the revenue deficit at least for the next four years. We also want special category status for AP for 15 years since tax holidays and other incentives are necessary to rebuild the state from scratch. including capital city. We will soon meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union finance minister Arun Jaitley and seek their approval,” Mr Yanamala said.
“Yes, we are walking a tightrope. We need to fulfil all the promises that were made during elections. At the same time, we need to strike a balance between revenues and expenditure. We should also take all the precautions to see that common people are not burdened with taxes. We have no plans to impose fresh taxes or increase existing taxes to mobilise financial resources,” he said.

Problem here is not the bifurcation . Both AP and Telangana States have got foreign investment and the 9 days state visit of FM Jaitley to United States is more about investment treaty.
Wrong.. The Problem is the bifurcation (& lack of special status.) It was done in a rushed & incompetent manner!!
TG has been left a revenue surplus state because of it & AP a revenue deficit state
AP has been left without a capital for which it has to start all over again,at the same time it has a neighbouring state's CM who doesn't hesitate to abuse Andhraites ,AP & it's CM left & right..
And NO I have a few family friends in the IAS, they + my sources confirm Special Status can Not come(because of the 14th Finance commision report) & if it comes, it will be because of a miracle
@Echo_419 I forgot to tell you this. TG is the second richest state in India because of the bifurcation(All the tax money+projects in Hyderabad went to it).. Add to that it has a brilliant ecosystem in IT, Pharma(because of CBN) & in Electronics(before CBN) which helps it tremendously..
Yes I have edited my post , please go through it anna..

the 14th Finance Commission has recommended to the Centre to allot Rs 22,113 crore to the reorganised State in a phased manner for a five-year period beginning April 1 this year.
The commission recommended a post devolution revenue deficit grants of Rs 1.95 lakh crore for 11 states, including AP for the coming five financial years.
AP is currently getting Rs 13,000 crore from Planning Commission and the Finance Commission.
The Centre will release the fresh grant for five years as follows: Rs 6,609 cr for 2015-16, Rs 4,930 cr - 2016-17, Rs 2,230 cr- 2017-18, Rs 3644 cr - 2018-19 and Rs 2499 cr - 2019-20.
According to sources, AP government would be looking at Rs 3-4 lakh crore in additional grants for the State during 2015-2020.
“We welcome the decision of the central government to accept the recommendation of the Finance Commission to allocate Rs 22,113 cr to AP. This will be allotted to adjust revenue deficit for five years,” State Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said.
“We will try to convince the Centre that AP needs more funds than what is being contemplated,” he added.
