What's new

An interesting development : Army acquisitions !

Pakistan should invest in high altituderange air defence system capable to fire on all targets including cruise and ballistic missiles

For self-propelled airdefence S1 PANTSIR is best available system

It is always known that PAF has operated aircraft manufactured by different countries. So it is likely that China, Turkey and US aircraft would be part of PAF soon.

PAF could look something like this
Air Superiority TFX & FC-31
Second line F-16's & JF-17
Advance Training T-50 & K-8
Basic Training Mushak & Hurkus
Drones

The second line can be understood: that is how things are. Why are there two options for Air Superiority? Does one aircraft of the two named have any defects or shortcomings made up by the other? Or are we lining up our tin soldiers?

LOL. That is already known. A rebuilt special low-cost version of a Chinese copy of a Russian attempt at catching up with the Anglo-American original. It will face a badly-assembled made-under-license version of the Russian attempt, so it will make up with numbers.

Lolz,
sir we both know that in reality this wont be the case. The Chinese wont be copying the Russian which itself isnt a copy of the US one. :)
The development of this Chinese plane have been kept relatively transparent and better connections can be made.
I do not see us going for TFX. However, PERSONALLY, i feel that we will go for J31 as they will come much earlier than TFX. start operating them and just may be at a lteer stage induct some goodies from TFX to give ourself the taste of western tech (more out of habit but still it is good to keep pace with what others are doing operating)

Sir,
Every one knows...Always Have A Backup Plan.
J-31's would be part of PAF along with some domestic 5th gen platform.

By 2030-2040 PAF would be in the process of replacing or would have replaced F-7PG's, JF-17's and F-16's.
PAF would not like to have only asian technology but also western one hence the only likely aircraft that could come with western technology is the TFX. However these would be limited or proportional to the number of F-16's PAF replaces.

Sir, goodies would come in, however the interest the Turkish are showing in CPEC could also be a factor. Knowing the fact that TFX has a potential market PAF can cash on future sales of TFX. TUAF would replace the F-16's with TFX so could PAF.

F-7PG, JF-17 and F-16's replacement can not be fulfilled by J-31 alone. This does not include any other 4++ fighter if PAF considers to induct would also be close to end of its operational life by 2040-2050.
