I didn't say dangal was only one,but 2-3 other amir khan movies had some fanfollowing.There are cliche fanfollowing for everything in the 1.4 b china. Still,Amir khan might be one of the more well known foreigner in China. China loved his hearty meaningful movies-dangal ,pk ,3idiot.

China's movie industry is so humongous,any foreign movie that get screen in those few allocated quota,ends up earning buckloads by default if it's remotely bearable,due to the efficient and widespread screening and pricing of tickets . With the exception of dangal, replace any of those Bollywood movies with any 5 stellar korean movies or Thai movies,it will and up earning the same or more. That's just how chinese movie industry works. Dangal was a true boxoffice hit,3idiots is a cult hit same as pk .

But Bollywood isn't in the minds of chinese at all,the presence of Bollywood in chinese internet has been almost nil.It's been that way forever.

I agree with you. Fault India all I like but I cannot deny that India enjoys one of the worlds most pleasing image. I am jealous. Pakistan contrasted by having one of the worse images on earth. The crazy part is half of the effort in making the Indian image has been done by Pakistani's. From food, to songs to history Pakistan has helped India enact the global image it has today.
