An archipelago of killer cats

To the Moderators: I am confused where to post the article above. Please find your way to re-place it anywhere you wish, and do not ban me for sending a wrong article in a wrong place.
To the Pakistanis: We all know you are fascinated with your old east Pakistan. Older generations in BD have the same feeling towards the west. But, do not visit the tiger den in the Sunderbans without rifles in your hand.
I have visited sunderbans from Indian side... there is a small island which is called island of widows(or something similar) because nearly 40 men have been killed from that single island over the years.
And no, you are not allowed to carry weapons to sunderbans... the place I stayed was not deep inside sunderbans( where majority of attacks happens deep inside sunderbans when people go to fish, collect shrimp or honey.)

In Bangladesh you have to take permission from forest office to visit Sundarban and they will provide you with a gunman.

we are braver... jk jk...
you need permission from forest dept to visit from Indian side too... usually tour operator will do those formalities... the best bit was narrow boat that can carry around 10 people and propelled two men with long sticks(or was it paddle, dont remember).. they can travel in the narrow channel between small islands...
its also the time when you are most vulnerable to tiger attack...

. .
We live with the tigers
That makes us good fighters.

Where do you live braveheart, in Sundarban?

Btw, they are called "Royal Bengal Tigers", NOT "Royal Bangladesh Tigers"...and that's for a reason....they might live in both parts of Sundarban, but they are our legacy.

Sundarban rivers have crocodiles too, and they too cause many deaths. Be careful before you take a boat there next time!

yeah we saw some crocs sunbathing.. and deers.. but no tiger.. we were relying on tour operator for local knowledge, they know the risk, probably have done it hundreds of times.

Still accidents happen, there have been incidents where boats turned, and Crocs got a heavy lunch!

Entire Bhati Area was infested with tigers. There were Tigers in Dhaka only 100 years ago.
The photo is taken only 100 years ago north of Dhaka, The Man standing on the tiger is the famous Vawal Jamider. It is quite possible that some of your and my ancestors were killed by Tigers. In those days Tigers and Snakes were major nuisance in Bengal. In entire Bengal

That is for you. And no one gives a flying fak about you and your thoughts...

At-least change your DP if you don't give a flying fak to Bengal Tigers. :P

Definitely more people are killed by cars than tigers, sharks and lightning.
But cars don't scare us as much as the tigers.

That is plain wrong you have to pay price (few deaths) for gods of the jungles - Tigers,Lions,Elephants and Leopards.

Do you know Indian elephants kills 400+ people every year but majority Indians never afraid about wild Elephants.

Sometimes, a hungry tiger would even swim to a rowing small boat and catch his living lunch. The article says the same story. So, better not to trust your fate and travel in a dingy. কথায় বলে, "জলে কুমির, আর ডাঙায় বাঘ"I Crocodiles are also not a kinder species than man and tiger are.
