Now they think that they shot down a F-16 because they found its missile.
India has so far backtracked one way or another on every claim they have so far made.

1. First they said that they struck a JeM camping killing 'hundreds'. Only to deny even crossing LoC then saying there were no casualties and the strikes were only a warning.
2. Then they said all their pilots are accounted for, then finally accepted their pilot and loss.
3. Then they said they shot down a F-16 and used the Mig-21 Bison, and tried to search a marker-scribbled numeral on a junction box as a permanent Aircraft number, only to be shot down by experts.
4. Then they showed an AMRAAM piece claiming it was fired from F-16 and thus violated US terms, and also that it proved they downed a F-16.
5. Then they backtracked saying their 'ground forces saw a jet going down'.
6. Now they backtracked even more saying that they think that they downed a F-16 because simply of the fact that F-16's were used in combat as AMRAAM shows.
7. They don't know what the terms of US-PAK agreement is on the F-16.
