In previous times a head of a Clan was titled 'Khan' thats something happens even in my clan as well although we are Abbassi with mix Arab and Mangol background. Turks of Central Asia are also mix of mangol and turkic blood so is true of different types pf pathan clans as of today because when ever these barbaric mangols used to go they used to take slaves the women of the area and used to produce children from them. Mangols started their quest under Changez Khan in 13-14th century.......Ottoman Turk Empire came into existence i think in 15th century or last tenure of 14th century when Mangols started embarrassing Islam..So later on the clans of their children and mixed children still used the Title 'Khan' either with their surname or giving the title of 'Khan' to their Heads of tribes/clans etc

There are Khans in almost every where in South Asia now even in Bangladesh and India......Those are most of those people who came with Mughals or came later on....There is still a Pathan village in Indian Rajistan area but living such a long time there with no contact with their ancestors or ancestral places a very little Khan is left in them.

Abbasis of murree and abbottabad are believed to be converted from dhund tribe? What do you say about that?

Dhund is my tribe dude. And we are not just in murree but in AJK as well. Im from AJK branch of Dhund Abbasi. We actually have a mix background of arab-mangol because we settled here in the region in the 14th century after fall of Baghdad.

So as far as history is concern it doesnt give any hint of us being converted because of our direct ancestry from western side of pakistan ie Middle East or CA...Thats why the surname Khan used to be the title given in our tribes elder. But yes now a days times have changed people have changed so this 'title' is now not used in the last two generations in my family as well since a lot of people both in my tribe and race overall have became more scattered and urbanized.

But anyways these are the things of old times now a days they dont matter.

Yes but they just passed through passes marched koh sulieman and koh sufaid ranges , can you tell me about any battle of mongols to capture khyber pass, waziristan or zhob?......mongols devastated the settled northern population of afghanistan, the persians, but pashtuns of mountains down south were left to themselves.....it was much later , in late 14th century that emir timur sent military expediations to subdue troublesome pashtun tribes of koh sulieman ranges.

Yes off course this is true thats why i said before that mangols were barbaric (when i said they used to take women of people etc) but u took that to yr heart and got angry. There were some tribes who were subjugated by them not just a Pathan race or other but everyone. Yes there could be some pathans who could have been spared and some who r of mix genres today may not be.... Allah knows best that really happened then.

Look my friend this was part of just history i shared by what i have found from my study......Those were the bad people and may Allah protect us all either pathans or non pathans. Now a days when people are usually adapting the urbanized way of lives there is now no point in staying in the past and accused each other of ''illicit'' of whatever (lets not become like indians).

My intention was just to share what i know and to hurt u or yr pathans in general. I personally have a great respect for pathans and being Kashmiri our relations with each other are very old. So please dont take my words to yr heart.

I think my id name change is confusing you, i am old member lol. 23andme tests are accurate like anyother. I added this abbasi guy couple of months ago and last week he finally shared gedmatch kit number after uploading raw data. Its interesting because this is first abbasi/dhund harappa results we have.

As you can see his gedmatch results don't show any sign of arab-mongol admixture.

Oh so you're that jatt guy from gujrat? Yeah didn't know it was you. I thought it was Oye_Natta. And man some tribes might have a highly diluted Arab ancestry(I think the pure awans might have it), but most of the tribes' stories are laughable at best. Heck, even Gujjars from Khari Sharif, Mirpur claim to be Arabs now for they are pirs now.

As for the dhund's claim to Arabian hood, I don't want to offend peoples feelings but why would the Abbasi dynasty of Baghdad come all the way to Murree hills of all the places? They ruled huge empires in the middle east, why would they choose Murree and Abbottabad, when richer places like Persia, central India existed? An Abbasi friend of mine even claims to be a descendant of Haroon-ur-Rasheed for crying out loud. Another tribe claiming a laughable Arabian origin is the Satti tribe of Murree. They claim to be Rajputs but at the same time claim descent from Qutub Shah(lol). Though, we don't recognize Sattis as rajputs and for the most part don't intermarry with them. The Arayeens of Punjab also claim to be Arabs, when there is no way in hell they are. It's both ridiculous and pathetic when they think they're the cousins of Gulf Arabs.
