As I said, please do look at the wider picture. A superpower thinks globally, not regionally. ;)

Hi,

Yes, so much that after 12 or 13 years of repeated failures it no longer recognizes Afghan Taliban as Terrorist.

And how it has conveniently avoided to face ISIS on ground.:D

Of course. There are no permanent friends or foes in international geopolitics.

Hi,

Yes, one can say after suffering huge setbacks and humiliation :D

Of course. Setbacks are part of the game, it is how a nation recovers that is important. To get back on topic, just see how Japan has recovered from WW2.

A Marshall Plan for Middle East? It is full of very rich countries, they can take care of themselves very well, don't you think?

Hi,

No, If it were, we wouldn't have seen such chaos.

Iraq wasnt very rich nor was Afghanistan

There are two method to control people:

1. You control them through submission. forced invasion, power projection etc. Eventually the society will have all but destroyed. Where people will have no longer to lose anything and they will only have one objective, that is to resist against invading power . This method is orthodox and doesnt tend to work in most cases.

2. You give a reason to people to loose something. ( post ww2 American style) You go in there, and you present yourself as not an invading power but as friendly force there to help. You demonstrate your friendliness by rebuilding the infrastructure, schools, colleges, medical facilities, by providing them with decent means of livelihood which was done in Europe and in Japan. Thats how you gain popularity with people and thus the large part of nation which sis fed up of war will look forward to it and will in its own way counter the negative opinion of an attacking force.

this method some could say is modern slavery making countries dependant for US's support, but in other words its good approach to be applied to prevent further chaos destabilization and to secure huge market and favourable opinion of locals for ages to come.

The rich people in Arab countries are only the ruling families. furthermore, we are talking about Iraq or libya for that matter, the countries which were victim of US hegemony.

I thought as yo mentioned super power learn from their action, but when the first strike was carried out in Afghanistan and the amount of resistance faced there.

US should have realized that wars cannot be won only through Guns and its powder

Wars are only one way of pursuing policies that serve national interests. Do you think USA does not know that? The chaos in the Middle East is the result of the people themselves, primarily, and the involvement of any external forces is only secondary. Afghanistan was a haven for Al-Qaeda, and the goal of cleansing it of that organization has been achieved quite successfully. Making a functioning country was only a secondary objective, and more up to the Afghans themselves.

Could always resort to firebombing. Tends to kill more than nukes.
Exactly, these people dont know thst had the U.S decide to fight for each inch of japan , then japanese deaths will be in the millions.:agree:

Hi,

No, even if US did know. It failed to demonstrate that understanding.

As you talked about Japan, I told you how the policy worked, which would have worked here too if it was applied with right intentions.

Afghanistan was haven for what? Sir there are far more civilian casualties than the combatants one and the policy of forcing has paid its price, terribly. The objective was to cripple destroy the capacity of carrying out attacks.

Far from popular belief, We can see the intensity and scale of such attacks and ambushed have increased. So the policy has quite clearly failed.

The chaos in middle East was the result of US's hegemonic and two faced policies

Do you agree that the ability of Al-Qaeda to use Afghanistan as a base for launching attacks against USA is still there or not? The chaos in the Middle East just a prelude to reorganizing the entire region, which will take several decades at least.
