For those who didn't get the news. India became a superpower over a decade ago, at least according to the hindutva fascist fantasies, and during the self stimulation sessions of their military and ruling elites.
In reality, in the short term, India just wants to take full advantage of west's paranoia about china to get all the perks from them, while only being a half hearted ally at best.
In the middle term, India will act in a very cautious and calculated way so it doesn't have to fight a war with China alone, while not totally alienating it's neocon, and naive western liberal supporters. So inspite of their bluster, and militant rhetoric, they will not start something with China that they can not win.
In the long term India sees itself as the premier fascist superpower of the world, where everyone pays homage to their vedic heritage and accepts their inhumane religion, culture, and society as a model for humanity to follow.
