Mate, it's always the pure people who make such things, never people in big positions do. It is this mind which brought Europe and US forward and why Pakistan is still on the same level. Look at M. M. Alam, despite his great success and service for the nation he still kept helping people, but no one of our ministers does.

Thanks :usflag: for ur help in Earthquake and your money

God bless Todd Shea, I hope some narrow-minded people ( you all know who i mean) see the truth, not all Americans are bad same as other nations!

Actually he is more blessed than the majority of muslims I know

I'm sure there's no dearth of good and kind hearted people on the earth.......but God has given only a few the power and money to help others.........even then, this few people are not given the chance to help others by some men,for selfish reasons..............may God help the subcontinent,to get rid of the evil

u must be joking.
these guys have pockets which can never be full.
their hunger for money has no limits.
if nothing left in pakistan, they will move elsewhere.

You all noticed where he sleeps? How can someone sacrifice himself completely and forget himself completely for the sake to help others? He is an american blessed, God is indeed on his side :usflag:

Hats off to people like Mortenson and Shea. Their efforts are invaluable.

Pakistan does have philanthropists galore and a rich tradition of philanthropy (though one can never have enough). Aside from the names mentioned, we also have Abdus Sattar Edhi and the Agha Khan foundation that have rendered immense contributions for Pakistan.

Organizations such as the JuD have set up schools and clinics, and they primarily fund their efforts through donations from Pakistanis across the spectrum, rich and poor.

The much maligned Madrassa's, again funded primarily through charitable donations, have offered a very important service in the absence of State alternatives.

Granted there are valid arguments related to the regulation of such charities in terms of ensuring that the schools they run do teach violence and hatred, and have a curriculum that will prepare their students for the 21st century workplace and society, but the contributions of many are important.
