naiveIf the KMT were able to develop China's economy post WW2 and become an economic powerhouse, it would certainly have both.

Can you read Chinese? One of the greatest tragedies in modern history IMO is the KMT losing the Chinese civil war to the CCP. If the KMT had won, today China would be a democratic, wealthy and civilized nation with a high standard of living, protection for human rights, a well mannered and polite society like that in Japan and Taiwan, the world's largest economy and a long time ally of the United States. China would not be aggressively nationalist but will be secure and established as an industrial superpower and have a cosmopolitan society that would be welcoming to people from all over the world.

When u r good at trading, then surely u will not good at fighting and farming.Yes, obviously the PLA were far better at war than the KMT. But in this hypothetical timeline, the KMT is better managed and are able to beat the PLA.
KMT couldn't hold the country together. We would end up as another India. Starvation and inequality everywhere. We will have some individual success like Indians. That is naive. It would be corrupt and dysfunctional democracies like India and Russia. And still be contained by the US because China will always be a threat to its power even if it a demoracy. Tibet and Xinjiang would be secede. Social instability due to freedom of media, infiltration of US agit prop, and unstable government.
I doubt it would be like India, but i think it would be closer to Russia. Corrupt and controlled by oligarchs.KMT couldn't hold the country together. We would end up as another India. Starvation and inequality everywhere. We will have some individual success like Indians.
But import toxic GM boybean, corn from US and growing toxic gene edited rice thats destroy immunity system, in CN is also lead to health pademic ( such as Corona pademic )KMT couldn't hold the country together. We would end up as another India. Starvation and inequality everywhere. We will have some individual success like Indians.

《党员、党权与党争_1924~1949年中国国民党的组织形态》is a must read, then you will truly understand why KMT lost. I bought epub softcopy. I can give it to you or you can buy it here:

If KMT won, it will be the end of Chinese civilization and the hell of China.
Don't be so idealistic. KMT is a scum in his blood.
That's assuming they can feed the Chinese and hold it together. I have nothing against KMT BTW. Sun Yat Sen is respected in China until today.I don't think so. China is far more homogeneous than India. Just look at how all of the Confucian societies fared under a stable political system and free market economy, from Japan to S. Korea to Taiwan to Hong Kong to Singapore. That would be more like what China would've experienced if the KMT won.
India is another level.India is also corrupt and controlled by oligarchs. Lol
Hahha exactly.India is another level.
If KMT controlled whole China, instead of the Taiwan island, I doubt US would help KMT. European countries, Japan, S.Korea are either small countries or vassals of US. US helping them is reasonable. But it would be a different story for big countries. Especially for those who have strong will to be independent from other's control. India for example. If the KMT were able to develop China's economy post WW2 and become an economic powerhouse, it would certainly have both.
