The Indigenous people of the so called Northeast India has been fighting India for a very long time and it is just a matter of time they will reunite with their motherland - Burma. Of course , Burma does not want to officially announce it that they want the land stolen by the British back because Burma have so many internal problems to solve before anything else.
Most of the terrorist groups of North-East have been destroyed. Thanks for co-operation by Bhutan and Bangladesh,Indian military effectively subdued these organizations. Most of their leaders are either dead,or caught,or in exile.By the way,I still don't get it,which North-Eastern terrorist group actually wants to unite with Myanmar??There are the Bodo rebels, they demanded independent Bodo land, the ULFA,demanded independent Assamese land, the Kuki, the NSCN,etc etc..But which group actually wanted to be united with Myanmar???

Indians don't know about it,rebels don't fight for it,Myanmar doesn't talk about it,then how come you talk about it???Another conspiracy theory in the making???
So far as the visit of the Burmese premiere is concerned,if we can allow Gen.(Retd)Musharraf to set foot on Indian soil, for the sake of greater good, then I dont see any problem in doing the same courtesy in case of our Burmese counterpart.
India, bolstered by its economic progress,is on a drive to make friends and allies Worldover, for the sake of greater benefits and economic co-operation.While General Than Shwe is criticized for the way he has handled the govt.,he is not a war-criminal or something. It has got nothing to do when it comes to doing business.
