The punishment of treason is defined in the law/constitution.

They must be filtered out of the system and be prosecuted just like in any civilized country of the world.


But I would be living in fools paradise to believe that 5th column (likes of Easy Paisa, bar councils, media group owners, politicians, buereucracy) will ever be prosecuted in this country under this system.

IMO the real punishment for these traitors are the following:

• IK comes back with two thirds majority
• Presidential system is introduced along with a new constitution
• Cleaning of judiciary, bureaucracy, media etc.
• Strict controls over financial transactions
• Documenting the economy
• Trials of these top traitors and corrupts at special tribunals

Supreme Court won’t rule against it. If they do then their ruling will be questionable. Awaam will judge them, are they standing with Haq or against it. Even if they rule in favor of opposition, NCM was supposed to be presented with in 7 days. Opposition has lost the battle, Assembly is already dissolved.

Well then either Military Courts need to step in or Mob justice may just be forced.

Military itself is led by a potential sellout. MCs and the deep state could have cleansed the system within a year for decades... but never did, and never will. They prefer management. A single political entity getting too strong (including IK) is a big threat to their power monopoly.

For that to happen, you need to hang the judges first. And you can't do that unless there is dictatorship...

We've tried dictatorships and didn't get JACK SHIT out of them. Generals with limited visions who became politicians quicker than the people they were supposed to replace.

We don't need mil dictatorship or pathetic parliamentary democracy. The only model that really delivers rapid progress is the China Model. It's right in front of us, yet it has never penetrated our intellectual discourse or political system. And for good reason --- it is a ruthless civilian-led meritocracy with a diminished role for the judiciary and a subservient military. This is bad news for politicians, generals, and judges --- so, conveniently, we keep oscillating between two useless systems.
