Alarming decrease in Hindu population in Bangladesh

Shadowfaux remain neutral like you have showed here.

You gave logical reason of decrease in Hindus population. As for those who think we want to kick out Muslims, they really don't know anything about Indian muslims. When an Indian say anything about BD Hindu, these people say its propaganda, but when they hear anything about Indian Muslims, they take it at face value.

Remain reasonable like you have been, you will go way long.

@other BD posters : Take reasons, factors, population dynamics, emigration, rather than same old rants.

Cheers.

You did not go to India at the time of Gujrat rioting. YOu did not go to Assam at the time of Nellie massacre. Dont put us in the same shoes as Indians.

he did not go before guj riot at godhra either.
nellie massacre was not religious. it was between indigenous tribals and illegal bd people. state had no part. and the tribals were itrritated on foreigners capturing their own land.
indians are far more tolerant than BD

.
I have a question: Why almost all the hindu families in BD have relatives in India ??

. .
ever since Indian Economy is doing better, hindu population in Pakistan and Bangladesh is decreasing mysteriously, big mystery!!

In Pakistan they are leaving because their houses have been robbed, like any other religious segment, but what going on in Bangladesh

Can anyone clarify this please about the so called torture on hindus. I lived in Dhaka for years but never seen any torture or abuse towards the hindus. This seems to me hugely exaggerated explanation. Regarding land grab it happens to both muslim and hindus. Lastly is there any updated data about the number of hindu conversion to Islam as the article claimed!!!

Though minority repression in BD is not significant like other two parts of subcontinent, I've to say it exists in BD and it's not so called. You didn't see because it's our nature...we don't bother that much. Also, you should have willingness and open eyes, Dhaka city isn't a suitable place to look for such repression...please try this in rural and remote corners, you'll find it. Definitely, we as a nation proved ourselves a stupid one when we started an act like Enemy Property Act by which one becomes enemy to his/her own birthplace...instead of Enemy other term could have been used. Another thing is state religion as Islam which makes people from other religions second class citizen.

You shouldn't have posted a report on this sophisticated issue published in weekly blitz which isn't so acceptable, Prothom Alo is just fine. There are many other equations as well but conversion thing is bogus.

Land disputes in Bangladesh are very common. In fact, nearly two-thirds of all court cases are related to land disputes. Many of them take years to be heard.

Many people without updated documents find that their land has been sold to someone else without their knowledge. Taking that back takes time any money. Many never do.

And in court cases, the ones with the money wins. It don't matter who the original owner is. This makes the poor most vulnerable.

Another thing is that the land registration system in Bangladesh is nearly a century old. It has never been updated or modernized to increase security. There were reports that the government was to update the system, but I haven't seen any noteworthy results. Land grabbing still goes unabated anyhow.

Does this make Bangladesh look bad? Obviously yes. And who's fault is that? :)

Just a piece of advise for anyone who owns land and property in Bangladesh: Make sure your property are ALWAYS registered. Never ever buy unregistered property, even if it's free. And always have your papers ready and updated if you have land. Guard them safely. And don't brag about your property in public, and I'm rich and that.

Also, Weekly Blitz is a stupid website run by a Zionist/conspiracy nutcase.

^ Right papers and careful checking of words in th contract. Two words cost me around 5 lakh INR in one property sale where I didn't consult with my lawyer.

Kya Pakistan Kya Bangladesh it is all same.

Forced conversions
IN PAKISTAN

Around 20 to 25 forced conversions take place every month in Sindh. If this situation continues, the Hindus will have no choice, but to resist,” he said

IN BANGLADESH from the article.

If any Hindu tried to protect their ancestral property and resist undue pressure of the Muslims, either their houses were set on fire or female members of those families were forcefully abducted as well as gang-raped. In most cases, law enforcing agencies, instead of standing in protecting the Hindu families, tried to defend the perpetrators, simply because of their political identity or social status.

Secretary General of Bangladesh National Hindu Grand Alliance, advocate Gobinda Chandra Pramanik said, "Hindu girls are becoming victim of abduction and rape on an increased frequency. That is why, most of the Hindu families in Bangladesh either send their girl children to various educational institutions in India or get them married at tinder age simply to save their religious and social dignity."
