Al-Rajhi Mosque in Makkah

A new mosque in Makkah has just been completed earlier this month. It is the Al-Rajhi Mosque located in the Al-Naseem neighborhood near the Jabal Thawr for those familiar with Makkah here.

The mosque is six-story tall and includes a library and a meeting hall.

The capacity is 47.000.

Notice how many Muslims could learn from those individuals. Shame on many of us and those who eat so much that they become sick knowing that people die from hunger - even fellow Muslims. Sorry, just thought I wanted to make a quick comment. No need to reply to my post. This is about the mosque.

Décor is for heathen Christians , not for muslim , I think anything wooden in the mosque is a symbol of idoltry if i'm not mistaken...

wood is what they make idols out of , and that is prohibited in islam.

And the domes in your second post , look quite like the American congress , in Washington dc

I am sorry but where have you read such a ruling? I am not a Shaykh but I would consider myself knowledgeable and I am a practicing Muslim from a rather traditional family that also had clerics among them (Makkawi Hashemite) and I have never heard about such a thing. I follow the Shafi'i fiqh.

the mosque that you posted is heretic too , because it does not follow the traditional architecture , if you can't distinguish a mosque from a church then one must be from turkey.

i'm not trolling , you say that word and the mods give me infraction ; I actually remember reading somewhere that wood is prohibited because idols are carved out of wood.
