Al-Qaida threatens to target Chinese over Muslim deaths in Urumqi

Again, Blaming game begins, ISI is not involved into this at all. I can say Raw is more involved with Taliban in these days then anyone else. If they quit supporting and funding them we will all be happy. But I think Indian government do not want that. They need revenge just because they got defected in Sri Lanka.
About China they are wise people, they know who is friend and who is foe. It think they are well capable of taking care of themselves and dealing with AQ.

Your country s own president is admitting who created terror outfits and its not hidden.. and its not hidden from us also that RAW is involved in destabalising your country but India had to give back...

coming to main topic... whole of the world will obliviously blame pakistan if china is attacked by AQ .

And i know Chinese know who are friends and who are not. pakistan at large is a friend of china and India is not but if some person based in pakistan territory plan and initiate terror attack in china i don see how Chinese will absorb that... China was untouched by terror as it is a big friend of pakistan and it was not belived by the Islamic terror outfits in pakistan that china is enemy of Islam... now due to tension in china and some killings of Muslim people in china will give terror outfits located in pakistan to think

.
CCP Will cut their balls off if they try to attack within China.
but how could they protect their citizens in north africa and mid-east?
send out another destroyer or frigate?
i don't think so and it dosn't work to prevent terrorist attacks and internatianal cooperation dose.

no sure how the government would protect it's people working overseas(peace missions and industrial projects) on a large scale, but i do know that for certain projects they send elite special ops units with the engineers and what not to protect them from harm

China needs to start treating its fellow Muslims equally, or else it will backfire.

Any nation that resorts to oppression, be it a Muslim nation or a secular, will have due recompense to pay later...

.... they treat all religions more or less the same in china, completely separated from the government. and yea about oppression for every nation there is someone who can claim to be oppressed by it

China Warns Citizens In Algeria Of Al Qaeda Threat

BEIJING (Reuters) - China has warned its citizens in Algeria about possible attacks from al Qaeda in retribution for a Chinese government crackdown in the Muslim region of Xinjiang.

The Chinese embassy in Algeria on its web site urged all Chinese people and organisations to be more aware of safety precautions and to strengthen security measures "in consideration of the situation after the July 5 incident in Urumqi."

The warning came after London risk consultancy Stirling Assynt said in a report to clients that al Qaeda might target Chinese workers in northwest Africa, citing "chatter" after the July 5 ethnic riots in Urumqi, capital of Xinjiang.

"China has been reminding overseas Chinese to pay attention to their safety and enhance self protection ... China will take any necessary measure to protect the safety of Chinese organisations and citizens overseas," Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang told reporters on Tuesday when asked to comment on the report.

Security is heavy in Uighur neighbourhoods of Urumqi and other cities in Xinjiang after ethnic riots killed 184 people and wounded more than 1,600. About 1,000 people have been detained.

Two knife-wielding Uighurs were also shot dead by police this week when they attacked another Uighur.

Exiled Uighur organisations said they opposed all forms of violence and condemned the reported al Qaeda threat.

The Uyghur (also spelt Uighur) American Association and the World Uyghur Congress are "extremely disturbed by reports that the North African wing of Al Qaeda has threatened to attack Chinese workers in Africa in revenge for the deaths of Uyghurs in East Turkestan," the exiled groups said in an emailed statement.

They said they advocated basic human rights and self-determination for Uighurs, a Turkic people who are largely Muslim and share linguistic and cultural bonds with Central Asia and who now make up less than half the region's population of 20 million.

Chinese workers have been kidnapped, and Chinese convoys attacked, over the past few years in many parts of the world with heavy Chinese investment, including Pakistan and Niger.

China pleads for understanding as al-Qaeda vows revenge over Uighur deaths

China has made a plea for understanding from the Islamic world after al-Qaeda threatened revenge for the deaths of 46 Muslim Uighurs in riots in the far Western city of Urumqi.

Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Mahgreb (AQIM) said it would target the 50,000 Chinese workers in Algeria and elsewhere in Northern Africa.

Two extremist web sites affiliated with al-Qaeda also made threats against the large numbers of Chinese people working in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.

"Chop off their heads at their workplaces or in their homes to tell them that the time of enslaving Muslims has gone," read one posting.

It is the first time that any al-Qaeda group has threatened China or its interests and illustrates the high price that Beijing may pay for the riots in Urumqi, in which at least 136 Han Chinese and 46 Uighurs died last week.

Beijing's nervousness over its vast interests in Africa and the Middle East was underlined by the Foreign ministry, which rushed to reassure Muslims that China was not oppressing the Uighurs in the desert province of Xinjiang.

"We hope that our Muslim brothers can realise the truth of the July 5 incident in Urumqi. Once they know the truth, they would support our ethnic and religious policies and the measures the Chinese government has taken to deal with the incident," said a spokesman.

The Foreign ministry was also quick to deny a charge of genocide against the Uighurs that has been levelled by Turkey, which, together with Iran, has emerged as one of Beijing's sternest critics over the events of the past week.

"In which country could this be called genocide?" said a spokesman. "In 1949, the population of Uighurs in Xinjiang was 3.29 million, at present the Uighur population there is nearly 10 million, or three times more than 60 years ago. What kind of ethnic genocide is this?" he said.

Justin Crump, the head of terrorism analysis at Stirling Assynt, a London-based risk analysis group, said his company had come across threats from AQIM in the course of its normal monitoring.

"China has been able to operate with impunity in Afghanistan and Pakistan. al-Qaeda and the Taliban have left Chinese well alone," he said.

But a report from his firm said: "There is an increased amount of 'chatter' on the internet among active Jihadists, who claim they want to see action to avenge the perceived injustices in Xinjiang.

"Some of these individuals have been actively seeking information on China's interests in the Muslim world which they could use for targeting purposes,"

Three weeks ago, AQIM ambushed an Algerian security team protecting a Chinese construction project and killed 24 guards.

"Future attacks of this kind are likely to target security forces and Chinese engineers alike," said Stirling Assynt's report. "They come across the Chinese a lot in the area and AQIM are likely to take the opportunity [when it presents itself]," said Mr Crump.

China's interests in Yemen could also be a target, since al-Qaeda is actively trying to topple President Ali Abdullah Saleh.

However, Mr Crump said the terrorist group's senior leadership was unlikely to endorse a full-scale jihad against China. He also added that there is no significant link between Uighur separatist groups in Xinjiang and Osama bin Laden's network.

AQIM, which wants to impose an Islamic state in Algeria, was founded in the mid-1990s and pledged allegiance to Osama bin Laden in 2003.

The huge oil and gas reserves in Xinjiang, as well as the web of pipelines that run through the province, funnelling energy from Kazakhstan and Russia all the way to Beijing and Shanghai, make the province vital to China's interests.

However, China's policy of total control has upset Islamic states, especially in the past week. Protesting Muslims in Indonesia called for a jihad against China on Monday, clashing with police outside the Chinese embassy in Jakarta.

All my pakistani friends are now showing concerns ... as china is stragetic ally of pakistan this is a moment of worry for pakistan.. if any terror strikes in china it would be originated from pakistani soil...

And Mr macman AQ and all terror outfits were given PS3 by pakistan army and ISI but they were given only action games to play and they started creating action in real First in India and now everywhere...

AQ is also a threat to Pakistan.
I think we can recognize who is the friend and who is the enemy.

.
Pakistan's biggest responsibility is to secure that its allies aren't affected by the terrorists of PAK soil, therefore I think it's no problem when they go to India but a real big problem when they go to China. Uighurs aren't the only muslim group, there also Hui Muslims and they were also killed by the Uighurs, so that is not a religious but an ethnic problem, and the Uighurs are responsible for the deaths.

Yes but Indians as usual are hell bent on trolling on any possible thread that they could find, so no need to feed the trolls.

You could not be a bigger idiot.Aq was not sponsored by ISI or any other organization.9/11 attackers were Citizen of Saudia Arabia and Egypt.AQ is a global terrorist network not connected to one specific area.Regardless, I guess you've been heavily brainwashed in India and your view about us won't change.

From 9/11 Encyclopedia:

Disturbingly, only a few weeks after the attack, it came out, that Pakistan's secret service obviously allowed some payments to Mohammed Atta with the help of saudi arabian credit institutes.
The story was ignored in US media, but later even covered by CNN but twisted: "As much as $100,000 was wired in the past year from Pakistan to Mohamed Atta, the suspected leader of the terrorist hijackings, CNN has been told by law enforcement sources.

These funds could have been provided to Atta by Al Qaida but through Harakat-ul-Mujahideen. Sources said the wire transfers from Pakistan were sent to Atta through two banks in Florida.

Then, Atta allegedly would obtain money orders -- a few thousand dollars at a time -- to distribute to others involved in the plot in the months before the hijackings.

Meanwhile, sources in the Middle East confirm that Atta and two other men wired more than $15,000 back to the United Arab Emirates just before the attacks -- what may have been leftover cash from the terrorism funds.

The money went to a man who flew out of Dubai for Karachi, Pakistan, on September 11 -- the day of the attack. Atta sent $5,000, according to the sources. His Florida roommate, Marwan Al-Shehhi, wired $5,400. A third man, Waleed Alshehri, sent slightly more than $5,200.

Officials in the United Arab Emirates have identified the recipient of those wire transfers as Mustapha Ahmad Al-Hawsawi (->). (NOTE: Mustafa Ahmed al-Hawsawi, a/k/a "Mustafa Ahmed," was born in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on August 5, 1968. He was described as "Moussaoui's Supporting Conspirator" a/k/a "Shaqil," a/k/a "Abu Khalid al Sahrai" in an indictment of December 11th, 2002. Source: Suspected al Qaeda Operative Charged with Planning Terrorist Actions

) Due to some confusion (on purpose?) in US Media, it was ignored for a long time, that Ahmed al-Hawsawi (->) was just another alias for Shaikh Saeed (->), who had indeed strong ties to the ISI and was later framed for the killing of Daniel Pearl (->). On May 23rd, 2002 (in the meantime the Atta-ISI-story became worldwide famous on the internet), the U.S. Treasury Department on Thursday started "vehemently" to deny a U.N. report that "Mohamed Atta, one of the terrorists involved in the September. 11 attack on the World Trade Center, received a transfer of funds into his U.S. account which was flagged by his bank. According to Wednesday's U.N. report, the bank filed a "suspicious transaction report" with the Treasury Department's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCen ->) "which was not noticed quickly enough because the report was just one of a very large number and was not distinguishable from those related to other financial crimes." The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network said in a statement Thursday that it wanted "to unequivocally deny that any suspicious activity report was filed prior to the tragic events of September. 11, 2001 on terrorist Mohamed Atta." http://abcnews.go.com/wire/Politics/ap20020523_2026.html

At that time all Atta-Transfers had been already made public. In the Moussaoui-indictment (->), in a lawsuit (->) by many 911-victims against Saudi Arabia and Prince Turki al-Faisal (->), former chief of Saudi Intelligence.

before 9/11
1) Pak Made Talibanand more then Half of Taliban are from Pak
2) PAK and Sauid Arabia is the only country who recognize Taliban.
3) Taliban Supported AQ in Afghanistan.

After 9/11
1) Taliban is in PAK
2) AQ is in PAK
3) PAK Fighting War to those people whom it don't able to control.

One cant over see the fact. and No one can deny the fact that Taliban isnt ISI controlled in Afghanistan. Recently PAK confirm that it established contact with them and if US allowed them to terrorize India then can stop them to attack on US in Afg.

So in Pak their Govt within govt and that with in with specific agenda. AQ is created by fanatic Muslims who want to established their law in world. it is one by one step they are taking.
